Trying to swap brake hoses on the front.
I have soaked the connection with PB blaster there behind the strut. I am using a flare nut wrench on the nut on the hard line. But I can't get it to budge, the brake line itself starts to twist and I don't want to kink or break the line as they are in good shape.
Any tricks to getting them off that I am missing??
Maybe some heat will help break the corrosion loose.
I agree, little heat from a propane or Mapp gas torch.

Forget the line wrenches.. if it doesn't easily break loose right away- stop with the line wrench and go straight to vise grips. Works every time. "Vise grips?" That's the wrong tool!". It works.. that's all that matters. If you keep using the "right" tool you'll have nothing left but visegrips as your only option, since the nut will be rounded. Just use the vise grips now and avoid rounding the nut.
if all of that dont work pull the clip that holds the hose to the bracket on the car pull the line through a little bit and spin the hose end off of the brake line fitting
If its that old replace the hard lines also.
Good luck replacing them. They don't make that type of line,at all. IIRC,it a metric bubble flare at the MC,and standard inverted flare at the rubber line hookup. They make an adapter for it but I cant remember the part number.
50/50 mix of Dextron III and acetone. No lie, just used it on the wife's car last week for a fuel line fitting. Mix, squirt and wait for 10 minutes.. Shit'll literally fall apart.
If line wrenchs and heat don't work... cut off and replace!
I went through this with a 94 GT. Ended up replacing all the lines and it wasn't bad cost wise. Wish I would have just bought new from the start and saved me hours of frustration.
