Any way,my plans for this years dozen have changed.I ditching the spray and I picked up a turbo last saturday. Its a 70 trim.Should be a fun year.
well, i'm not a mechanic, i do the stuff i can, just because you have mechanical skills has nothing with to do with getting out there and racing your vehicle though
i know nothing on vettes, so i'm not going to try to attempt putting a s/c on the car. i did however strip the rotors and calipers myself on the car to do the powdercoating and upgrade the rotors, on my 08 gt500 me and one of my buddies at work did the shocks, struts, control arms, driveshaft, shifter, on it
if i can do it i will, i did the whole interior on my 01 silver lightning as well, all the gauges on it, me and vinny did the nitrous kit on it,
it's not like i never touch my cars
You sound like Ackbar. Who cares if you raced in all those events and who cares your cars made it into magazines??? You dont have those cars now so really, that stuff means nothing. Competing in those races don't mean anything either. Anybody at anytime can go into those types of races and race. It's not like you gotta be special or invited to them, lol. I feel very special though that you took enough time out of your busy racing schedule to make that big post and dig up all those links and stuff. If it makes you feel better I did read about half of it before I had to stop cause I was laughing so hard cause you really think you accomplished something. Hell maybe by the time i'm 49 years old like you i'll have raced in some events like that too, lol. I just think it's funny that you always have these big fancy cars that make all this power on the dyno but yet they never put down an ET that they're capable of. There's only room on this board for one fast LSX vehicle....and I have it!!! Maybe once I get tired of it...i'll sell it to you or something. We'll just have to wait and see though cause i'm not so sure you can handle it.
i take it back, your not dyno racing, your bench racing
Slow day Terry?:D
So just because people don't show up at big events means they dont race?? lol I'm at the track almost every weekend...sometimes 2-3 times a weekend and I race when I feel like it and want to. Plus, I streetrace when and if someone steps up. I streetraced quite a few times this past summer. Beat some pretty fast streetbikes...beat some pretty fast cars, also lost to some pretty fast cars. As of the last 2 years though, all I hear you doing is talking about racing. What you've done in that past has nothing to do with right now..If someone used to race 2-3 years ago but only talk about it now, that makes you a bench racer. Running to the dyno everytime you change the oil in your car just so you can spout off some big HP numbers is dyno racing. They say when people get old and just want to give up racing they buy vettes and just drive them around and talk about back in the day. I guess that's where your at now!!
I guess we should just do away with the Drag Racing Hall of Fames
And all the pro racers should just give up too, Because once they retire the majority don't still have their race cars, So what they did in their careers doesn't matter...
Just my $.02
Is this pick on Terry week? I didnt get the memo.
your the one that called me out, not the other way around, i didn't say you had to show up at big events, you sound like my wife, always trying to change the subject lol, typical female
3 years ago? 2 years ago, i've had a car out every year, i've only been to the dyno to tune the car, my 08 saw the dyno one time
i'll see ya out this year if you actually have a car of your own
