Hey Kenny, can you send me a PM with a price to coat 4 stock Focus wheels. I found some alloy ones to replace the hubcaps, but they are boring.:D

Ty, that engine bay is clean! Nice job.
I finally made it to a computer I could see the pics in full size and I must say it is looking killer Ty. Thanks for the chance to work on such a nice project.
Well I'm back home and back to work. Good news for those of you that have inquired about high temp powder. I coated my whole truck exhaust which is a power stroke btw, and after 1600 miles of towing our HEAVY camper (ex temps in the 900-1100deg range the whole way) the powder held up perfectly. Here are a couple things I've done since I've been back. First is some Harley parts and the other stuff is more Mr2 parts.

No problem Clarence, my pleasure. Do me a favor when you get a chance and pm me the name of each of those parts so I know what they are called next time someone ask me.
Here is some work from today. First is an intake for a top secret car that may see the light of day in the next 2-3yrs:lol: The other stuff is for a good ol 4cy Detroit diesel that I think in going in a 79 Ford p/u.

My intake looks killer! But I'll be out in the next 6 months or so:flipoff:
fuck my transmission has been ordered and paid for for 3 months now if it would ever show up I could get the engine in and out to Rigid. I'm sure it will get done way faster than you think and as always the work be impressive:bigthumb
John stopped by and got his Detroit Diesel Parts today. He was impressed. He said "Wow that does look like chrome." I will try to get a picture once it is in the 1979 4 door 4x4 Ford.
Thanks Tim I'm glad that he was happy with them.Quote:

Picked up a new toy so I thought I would use it as a business card/test piece to show off and see how different powders hold up. Here is a pic of what I started with. I already did the exhaust in high temp gloss black, which is holding up really well on my truck so we will see how it does on the quad. I hopefully will have alot of updates over the next week or two so hopefully this thing will look totally different here soon.

Looks like a fun test bed. Nothing wrong with a business write off!!!
I ought to look into that and see how that works.Quote:

Hey Kenny... I thought I read alittle while back where you had a color comparable to Ford's Blue they use, found a guy selling the real thing:
http://www.modularfords.com/forums/s...13#post1400813
Not sure if that is expensive for powder or not
I've been looking for that color, thanks. However that is very expensive for powder but like he said it is still cheaper than buying a new set of valve covers. Also if anyone is interested you would have to buy the powder and bring it to me. Also for any 4v guys a half pound may not enough to do a set of those BIG covers. It would be very very close to being enough. Thanks for the heads up.
Kenny,
can you powder aluminum bumpers? I have a 78 Fairmont that I'm redoing and was thinking of cutting the bumpers down to fit more snug with the body, if I have them cut and welded, I would like to maybe powder coat them..
Thanks Bruce
Hey Bruce I should be able to do those. What is the width on them?
Hey, got any factory 5.0 valve covers. getting ready to put top end back together.
The only set I have left have already been powdered in chrome you are more than welcome to buy them if that is the color you want. If not you can bring me yours to do. Let me know when you are ready.:bigthumbQuote:

Kenny, I'll get some measurements and get back with ya... how much to powder 4 wheels from a Miata, they are silver, also can sand blast them? I won't have the job till next week, so I'll give ya a call then, just think about a price for me..
Thanks Bruce
Hey I have a guy at work wanting to powder coat his 18" rims off his Cobalt SS... He is wanting a Gloss black to match his car, what would be a ball park figure for him? Oh and I am almost ready to bring those tips over, been busy as all get up. lol
Here is some work from this weekend. First is a set of hood pins I did, sorry its a bad pic they look much better in the sun. Next is a set of valve covers that I did in a color I havn't tried yet called black carbide. It has a nice texture to it but much less than wrinkle black. The next couple are the same satin black but one is on some Harley exhaust tips and levers and the other is for some parts for my Honda 400ex.

Nice... I was gonna ask you if you could powder coat the material that hood pins are made of... but I already dropped a pretty penny on some Shelby GT500 style pins. I should have waited.
That stuff looks killer Kenny,
I love your brothers scooter.
Thanks dude, those pipes are for his other scooter. I should have some pics of it together this week.
Wow,those valve covers look GOOD!
Andy they are at CS if you want to see them in person
