E85 works. Jeff posted some very good links to check out if anyone wants to have an open mind about this. For the price it is a very good fuel for a boosted or moderately-high compressed engine with or without the sauce. You just need to understand how alcohol works and adjust accordingly. It's not just a matter of changing some jets or cranking the base pressure up on an efi setup, turning the distributor until "it sounds good," and going out making passes. You WILL blow your shit up doing things like that. It blows away ANY "normal" pump gas you'll find for anywhere near the price per gallon. You will need a checker like Jeff showed to be sure of what you have because some blends, especially the winter blend, will be different enough to need some changes in the tune from time to time. Is it the be-all and end-all of fuels? No. But it sure as hell beats most of what's out there for a high HP "street" car when looking at your options. No matter what you use for fuel, if you have your tune on the ragged edge (knowingly or not) sooner or later it will probably bite you in the ass.
Here's a link to what Gale Banks has to say about E85. He seems to like it, but what does he know?? :dunno:
