Cam is making some progress on the Mustang and sent me some pics.
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...e371d06_4k.jpg
He is going to run the 3" thru here...

IC mounted up!

Ive learned to NEVER tell a Painter, or Chassis guy that Im not in a hurry, but with my Chevy II project going on, I really dont have the room for both cars in my garage....so I told him, Take your time.
Of course, hes now in a hurry to get it knocked out as he has other cars waiting to get in.
nice craig!
Looking good! I like the fitment up front!
Thanks!
Cam sent me this pic over the weekend...

I think Im going to have him weld on some -16 or -20 fiitings on to the radiator and switch out the hoses. It will make for better routing and there will be no instance where the hose can be blown off.
More progress!

Video walkaround....
https://live.staticflickr.com/31337/...f803a900_b.jpg
I have some -16 fittings coming, so Ill be switching out the factory Rad hoses as well.
Thanks for tuning in!
Wow! Looking good! I guess a rematch is in our future?
I got to see the Mustang in person this am and Im thrilled with the progress!
Not alot of new pics, but I snapped some anyway.
Cam plans on cutting the TB and then welding on the Vibrant band clamp assembly. I asked if we could cut it at an angle so that the tube isnt pointing skyward.
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...207b0b0_4k.jpg
These 2 holes dont line up very well, so we are going to drill the flange out and we should be good to go.
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...e6b6e59_4k.jpg
We also found that the steering shaft was hitting the rear tube; hopefully we can just shorten the shaft on the column and then re-align it.
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...73ac533_4k.jpg
The 3" DP will run through the K-member eng mount. Its gioing to be tight, but it will actually be a solid 3" piece with 2 V-bands welded on.

We might have to fab up a partial -10 (1/2") hardline for the drainback line, into the -10 bung on the drivers side oil pan.
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...dcc3975_4k.jpg
I bought some -16 adapters for the radiator lines, so hopefully those allow some more clearance as well.
Thanks for tuning in!!
Very cool!
Looking great!
Got my new intake in today.

Had some clearance issues with the adapter and TB,
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...2ae1c94_4k.jpg
So Cam broke out the grinder.
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...a88549a_4k.jpg
So while he was fiing that, I snapped some more pics of the build.

My Blue Chevy II is still spread out over my 2 car garage, so Im in no hurry at all for Cam to get this finished up. Im anxious to get back behind the wheel, but it will happen when it happens.
Thanks for tunig in.
The progress looks great, you will be rippin before you know it!
I really, really like that new holley intake. I may swap out the Sniper for one of those, and then portmatch it to the heads. Car is coming along nicely. Good to see it moving along, sorry to see that beautiful paint ground off, but progress nonetheless.
The Mustang is still at the shop (which is fine as Im not done with my Blue car) but Cam sent me some updated pics.
No stupid ass front bumper exhaust exit here.

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...adb6d33_4k.jpg
Hopefully he will be starting on the 10 point here soon.
I like it!
Atta boy!
Nothing new to report as Cam knows that Ive been working on my Blue Chevy II and that I need all the room I can get in my 2 car garage. So the Stang has been in the back of his shop.
However, I went to his shop, met with him, gave him some more $$$$ and we came up with a plan to get it finished up.
I will be switching over to a PG trans and a Drag radial, and Im hoping to join in on the fun in the NMCA 8.60 Index class, but not sure when Ill actually be competitive there. The car being "legal" to run in that class is more important at this time.

He will be notching the wheel tubs as I want to keep the back seat and not do a full mini-tub but I will be running AFCO Coil-Over shocks and Im really testinghis skills as I told him I would like tailpipe(s) He said one is doable, but 2 will be a miracle! LoL!!
So I guess we will see...
Thanks Mike & Cameron getting me setback up with a New PW & Email as I switched computers and lost my old shit.
Progress pics! Woot Woot!
I dont think this will be out this year, but its cool to see work being done on it.
He is going to cut off 1/4- 1/2" off each side to get these to tuck up under here
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...875f4bf_4k.jpg
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...b246d1a_4k.jpg
He is also going to be moving the Anti-roll bar so that the exhaust can run out to the bumper and Ill be running coil-overs.
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...ca52fa5_4k.jpg
Im wanting to keep the back seat, so he is doing a "mini" mini-tub

Thanks for tuning in.:D
wow.
Looks great.
Thanks!
Im hoping to have some more pics tomorrow as Im running up to Cam's shop to drop off more $$$$.
Cam has the Mini-Mini tubs installed, but he still has to finish weld & seam-seal it, but its looking good!
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...4e7dc54_4k.jpg
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...98d678b_4k.jpg
My Afco shocks should be in this week as well, so he should be able to start on that process as well.
He also told me that he cut 3/8" off of each side of the rear end, so that the tires are tucked under the fender better.
Im hoping that we can get the exhaust up and over the rear end as I want to run the exhaust out to the rear bumper.
I cant wait to get this home and get it running/fired up again!
Cool! Keep at it!
I plan on keeping the factory style fuel tank, but Cam still has to make room for the coil overs...
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...06f9bf8_4k.jpg
He went ahead and seam-sealed & painted the tubs...

Rear-end is getting prep'd for coil over mounts and another round of shortening. (1/4" on each side)
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...0079a4c_4k.jpg
Stay tuned...
Wow! Great work.
Cam didnt like the look of the rear tires in the rear quarters, so he whacked another 1/2" off the rear ends and re-installed the rear....

Looks like we will have to do some trimming to the Glenns Tank, but Im liking the looks of it all.
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...ad0f4f9_4k.jpg
Thanks for tuning in...
Coming along nicely!
Looks great!
Thanks guys!
The guys at Circle D gave me a smoking deal on a TQ converter, so I jumped at it...
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...7870694_4k.jpg
Theres some sexy billet going on with this dude. :cool1:
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...0fc493b_4k.jpg
The coil overs were going to be a PITA to adjust with the factory fuel tank, so Cam and I talked and now he is going to build a custom tank. Which in turn, lead us to go ahead and replace the upper TQ boxes as well.

dude the cage is in the way of your 6x9s lol
Man, talk about escalation! Man, this has gotten way outta hand but very cool nonetheless. And, I just bought the same converer! Great minds!
