Anyone know how or best way to roll the lip for better tire clearance?
Both sides are equally close. Not wanting to change tire or wheel if it's avoidable. Thought we would tuck the lip in?
Borrow a fender roller
Sweet. Um anyone have one? And experience doing this?
Hope no one is tired of this thread. Having carb issues, ordered a reman 2bbl for it. When a Co worker asked how the car was coming along I told him of the issues and how I'd rather switch it to 4bbl. The cost of a holley 600 is not much more than the reman carb.Left work today and found this in my back seat with a note, this was my fathers, he passed several years ago from cancer, he would want it on the mustang. Looks like I'll return the 2bbl and get a holley!

What color you gonna spray the manifold? Id do it in the cast aluminum paint(looks like oem) and do the raised letters in body color.
Youre doing an awesome job.
Thanks everybody. The cast aluminum or chrome aluminum I was going to go with. I do like the idea of painting the raised letters, I'll have to try to get paint matched. Maybe when the hood goes to be painted there will be enough left to do that. Thanks for the idea. I'll come up with a nice air cleaner too,.
Id do the cast aluminum, not sure how well the chrome would hold up. You could pick up the Edelbrock air cleaner and do the letters and stripes in the same color too. I think that would add a nice touch without going overboard.

Yea that be nice too.
Time to get this finished up and back to the family. The trim, glass, and some interior left. Off next weekend, hoping to knock it out. Alot to do.
Started back on the 65 tonight. Got left wing window, left rear window in. Working on door glass now. Difficult piecing parts from 6 boxes. Left drip rail went on nicely. Got one of the rear felts in, the other appears as if it staples in? Anyone know about this? Anyway, back at it! Not much of a a pic tonight, hopefully Thursday I'll have more for everyone.
That's a pretty cool thing your doing for the familly. It takes a very good man to do something for someone for free. Good job and good luck
Thank you.
Be willing to buy all the food for the grill, and drinks, for a couple volunteers for a couple hours of work. Can't begin to show my appreciation to anyone available.
I have all the tools and parts needed.
The hood is officially off to get painted. The time is being donated by a fellow banger. Once the hood comes back, the car will come home to me to be finished up. A little interior and the glass is all that's left. Going to switch to aluminum intake and holley 4bbl. Probably going to ask for volunteers to help button it up. Excited to have it back soon.
Just let me know Jason ... I'll help with whatever I can ...
Sweet! Thanks !
I'll provide the food and drink for whomever would like to join !
