I was a bit confused when I first saw this since I didn't expect it! Congrats Chad! I'm curious how your setup will do with an automatic.

Me as well Joe. Was time for an auto. Sure enjoy driving it. 2016 can't get here fast enough. I called the dealership today to get a few names for a letter of appreciation I sent them. Found out they sold Oscar to a couple in New Jersey who had just had a 2013 GHIG premium with NAV totalled out in a wreck. So it went to a good home.
Sorry no photos but I'm being asked about how this car is coming along. The transplant of the TVS SC is complete. The UCA/LCA's and supporting relo brackets are on. The Aluminum DS is in place. The VMP Performance base line tune had been loaded and is being fine tuned. A little too conservative. Adding about 3 degrees of timing to wake it up a bit more...but not too much. Still have some suspension mods and a few vanity items like tinting the windows and it should be track ready. THANKS BRIAN, BRANDEN, BRANDY, AND WADE at FINISHLINE PERFORMANCE. And big thank you to JOW and JUSTIN @ VMP PERFORMANCE on the tune thus far. Dyno numbers? WE don't need no stinking dyno numbers...;)
Mods yet to complete are Lakewood 50/50 read shocks, BMR drag springs front and rear 1.5"drop and BMR adj. panhard. After that id the 17" DR's don't work out I'll do the Whiteline sway bar kit and trim the factory sway bar mounts back so I can slide the 15x10's in the garage on for more traction. These I will do myself...well maybe. LOL! GETTING OLD MAKES ONE REAL LAZY! HA!
Good to hear Chad! Cant wait to see it make some passes! Should run real good!
You two (Chad vs. Brian) should be a good race, can't wait to see them out this year for the Dirty Dozen Challenge list racing!
Them Coyotes run like a mother!!! Guess Ill have to be the roadrunner!
Meep meep.
Haha yep!!!
Chad, you shoudve just went and bought a stock 16 camaro. Would run about the same times. ;)
Nope, i shall have it the track.
Its your age group that likes to park them all year long
Whew! false alarm. That was a close one. So you really are going to race this one? Super. I take that as a call out. And I agree most older guys have a tendency to buy, park and stare more than anything. Now how many car lengths do you want?
Yep, counting down the days now till the track opens. Sure ill run ya.
Not skurred of no one
Sounds like a wiener. Make sure you drink your Ovaltine and take your Fred Flintstone chewable and I'll drink my metamucil and take my Centrum Silver. LOL!
Some good racing coming up this year it sounds like!!
Chad, Im sure its going to run real good! It may surprise ya!
THanks BRian. I hope so. It'sstill nowhere near that awsome cobra of yours, but hopefully it will improve over the previous car 11.49 time. And no more frickin chinese transmission. YAY!
This sounds interesting already!!!
Received the revised tune this afternoon. Looking forward to loading it up and doing some datalogging and a couple of pulls tomorrow or Tuesday. Should pick up quite a bit safely. Knock on wood. Will get a video of it on the rollers and post.
Cant wait to see it!
Beautiful car, sounds like a lot of fun.. never got to meet oscar, or you in person chad, I hope to change that this year.. looking forward to meeting both of ya this summer.
^^^ Likewise Jason. Would love the chance to place a face with a name. And thanks.
Maiden passes today 11.587@124.36 - on a 1.83 60ft, and 11.350@125.10 - on a 1.825 60ft. Leaving easy getting to know the car. First pass the car got squirrely going into 3rd and pedalled slightly. Second pass held in the pit lane in third and went. Need to leave a little more aggressive to get 60ft down. Either way a new low ET for me. I'm happy. Now springs, 50/50 Lakewoods (here at the house) and maybe even a Circle D 258mm 2C stall converter before year end...
Very nice Chad!
Very nice Chad! Def some 10's in it with a better 60.
Thanks guys.
Awesome job Chad! Get the 60ft down and youll have your 10 second pass! MPH is good!
You drive like an old lady, get after it and put it down! Lol
Good start Chad.
Well at least you didn't call me shirley...LOL!
What tires are you running Chad?
Even if you could get the 60ft down in the 1.60 range, I think it will go 10's. That would be bad ass!
Running the ET Street Radial II's (295-45-17/27" tire) Brian. I was leaving the line at about half throttle trying to see how the car would respond as well. I am looking to replacing them with a pair of MT ET Street R series in a 28" (305-45-17). Brian at Finishline says they are making great traction for Terry's 15 before he sold them so I figure for now I will stay with a 17". I just need to sell the 154x10's I have in the garage so I can buy a pair of 15x8's. I also think I need a little taller tire because the car actually shifted into fifth before crossing the line.
Great time Chad! Did they say anything about going under a 11.5 without a cage?
15X8 will fit with no modifications. 5.3"(134mm) BS with a +19mm offset. I'm not going to put a 15x10 on it.
Is that the same setup Tony is running on his?
Can't remember what his tire setup is. Right now I am focusing on suspension for the most part. $100 in springs which I want either way to lower the back end and $120 for shocks is cheaper than one tire since I still have life in the ones I have. Worse to worse I will buy a whiteline sway bar kit, lop the ears off where the factory sway bar mounts and run 15x10's if that is what it takes.
Congrats! Awesome job.
Thanks Tommy.
