Yep, those are yours John. I will be getting them back from him as soon as they are done, and plan on putting them on the engine either before it goes in, or when we do the ported heads/cams in it.
How much to do a 4-wheeler frame? :)
Here is the final product. Sorry bout the large pic but I believe you get the full effect better.

Hopefully one day in the not too distant future I'll have an oven big enough for quad and bike frames.Quote:

wow those look killer! I think I found the color for my 4V covers!
Suhweet!!! Can't wait to get them on the engine!!
Shnazzy, those valve covers look good Kenny.
How much for a set of 17" wheels? maybe a gunmetal color(smooth finish)
how much to coat a LT1 waterpump and motor plate?
It is recommended to do water pumps unless you can complety strip it down. The seals in them won't stand up to the cure temps. What are the dimensions on the motor plate, I did mine in the stang no problem, just let me know how big it is.Quote:

the motor plate will fit in an oven no prob its actuall a left and right side plates so no bigger than 1'x1' each lmk on the price
and hmmm i had a PC'ed wp on the last car but idk if they stripped it down first or not
Here is what I messed with today. In person it does not look the greatest so it will probably just stripped and redone for fun. I had some overspray issues as I was trying alum foil to mask with. Also had some issues with stuff coming up thru the powder as I don't think I had the metal clean enough. I was just seeing how little prep I could get away with. I guess that is why they say practice makes perfect. Anyway it is the section of fender my brother did not use on his bike build and thought I would use to practice on. Mirror green and mirror yellow for you john deere and green bay fans.

If you need stuff to mask with I have tons of paper here at work.I can throw it in some trash bags and give it to you if you want the stuff.
Sure Andy I'll take any free supplies I can get. Thanks dude.
OK I hope no one ever wants a set of these done. They are a bitch to strip, they have way to many small corners but I did manage to get them clean. First I started w/ a rattle can paint, second is partially thru the stripping and the last is done. Someone wanted to see what a wheel would look like if I did the very outer lip in chrome so I will do that later.

Kenny, are you able to strip 5 star pony rims?
Yep they should be cake compared to these.
I think the turbines would make a comeback if they looked like that.
Can you do plastic? Like say set of mod motor valve covers?
What about a set of welds? Alwyas thought my welds would sweet in a gun metal or black crome.
I have wanting to do something in black chrome and a set of Welds would be perfect. For best effect it would be best for you to polish them all pretty first as that powder is a translucent so the more polished they are the better they look.Quote:

Cameron I have not tried a set yet but I would think that they would hold up to curing temps just fine.Quote:

WOW that looks awesome! nice work. :bigthumb
I've tried that stuff and it is just nasty messy to use. I have some stripper that is less messy and does a nice job it just that factory wheels usually have some pretty hard coatings. I just want it so I snap my fingers and they are clean.Quote:
Aircraft Stripper is your friend :bigthumb
Well I was gonna do the lip in chrome but could not resist doing the red. Its not perfect as I forgot to mask off the hole for the valve stem and some powder made its way thru. Nothing a little sanding and buffing won't cure. Oh well let me know what you think.

Kenny, how hard is P/C to sand through?
I've got an idea for some wheels and just curious if it is possible without screwing up the finish of the remaining area.
Jesse its not too hard, you have to work a little harder than regular paint. Depending on what exactly you want done a angle grinder w/ a roloc pad works real nice.
Will a 15x12 rim fit in your oven?
Not yet I'm waiting till I need several things to order at once so I don't get killed on shipping. The black chrome should be applied over real chrome or very polished aluminum to get the desired look and man it looks awesome when done right.Quote:
I read you have Black Chrome Kenny.
I can make a 15X12 fit.Quote:
