Omg it has a sissymax!!!??? Throw that in the trash and put a victor on it. You'll go 9.70s
Not what I was shooting for but I pulled a 12.05@116.74 last night at E20
Thinking that way is old school and wrong. your intake can't be two big on a fuel injected car. I was told that by everyone when I bought my first victor. I talked Ricky into his and was let down when it only picked up like 12 rwhp. But is car clearly showed improvement at the track. Plus it would be so much easier to work on it wouldn't even be funny
i like those victor 5.0's, but man they need machined ... the upper intake needs ported in the neck, its like a square 65mm opening right there ... it opens up pretty decent with about 10 hours of work ...
side to side, mine fit decent ... it wont sit flush down in the valley, about 1/4" off (top to bottom) ... $75 and its fixed :bigthumb
Nice time Walter look forward to seeing some 9s in better air.
I fixed all mine myself in about 20min
Im not opposed to trying one, im just tired of changing things and going slower. Everycar is different, you picked up with a victor, a victor killed plated's car. Some of the fastest stock block 302's run a breadbox upper, a breadbox killed my car.
I wouldnt call my thinking old school. Matching ports and keeping velocity up only makes sense. A victor is tailored for high rpms. I shift this piece at 5500.
