Well I couldn't stand not having gun so while my new replacement was being shipped I went ahead and bought another one. The guy I got it from also had some powder he gave me so I thought I would play with a few colors tonight. The first one was marked Maytag blue but it actually looks pretty close to windveil blue, however it looks very baby blue in the pics. BTW I have like 10lbs of this stuff which is a ton.

This is dormant blue and it looks AMAZING in person. The pic does not do it justice in the least bit. I would say it looks pretty close to Sonic blue.

It would be nice if i could get my coupe powder coated in the dormant blue.
Man would that be sweet!!
You aren't kidding, I just hope one day I can afford an oven that size.
Rainbow rods
Lets put an engine together with every different color! haha
See ya tomorrow Kenny! I should get there about 20 after 5 depending on traffic :bigthumb
Did not do much over the weekend other than build some shelves for the garage to mount my furnace on. Yeah I will finally have a heated garage. Anyway I did get some center caps powdered for Andy.

I'll post up pics of my "assembled" intake when I have time... It looks pretty sweet!
Dude.Those are freakin SWEET!!!!
I also found some black lug nuts, but those are kinda pricey.70 bucks.
Ill try to swing down there some time this week to get those.
It was nice meeting you at the shop the other day. Can't wait to see Adam's turbo come out.
Nice meeting you too. It may be a little bit on the turbo housing, I did some more research and ceramic is going to be the way to go so I think he is going to wait till he gets all the exhaust made up and do it all at once.
Here's a pic from my cell phone of the intake that Kenny powdercoated.
I will vouch for how strong these coatings are... I forgot I put it in the trunk of my Lincoln and was driving it sorta hard when I heard it roll around in the trunk... whoops...
So I pulled it out of the trunk and looked at it... The brace in the trunk whacked it hard on the ear of the intake... and if it were paint... it would have screwed it up BAD! But since it is powdercoat... It hardly even knicked it! :bigthumb
You sir are a badass!
Can you do my entire truck?
Can you do bolts? I have a idea I wanna try!
Thanks Higgy. As far as the whole truck, not yet but maybe one day I will have an oven that big. We could go piece by piece right now though.Quote:

awesome work as usual. looking foward to bringing my stuff over soon!
Cool! I'm looking into a fuel door but want to twist it up a bit and try and do something different. I want to get the polished/chrome one and highlight the GT in red (Torch Red) and do the bolts in a black to stand out against the ring.
Here's a little something I just whipped up to give ya and idea. Let me know what ya think?
Hey can you quote me out doing a set of 4.6 DOHC valve covers ;) Thanks
Also can you do the heads of bolts?
Here is a 3v cover in wrinkle black.
