after sanding down all the body filler till the fenders are most of the way straight I started applying the primer. I only got the back sides done tonight. Hopefully get the fronts done tomorrow.

I ended up at St. Luke Hospital after posting those last pics list night untill 2am.
At some point yesterday I got a small piece of metal lodged in my eye. It didnt hurt real bad till later in the evening. I was trying my best to suck it up and be a man as I sprayed primer last night, painting with one eye almost shut and tearing up the whole time. Yea it sucked, especially when the Doc was grinding my eyeball with a little dremel tool. :tard:
You know, they make safety glasses for that sort of thing!!!!!!!!! I have extras if ya need a pair.
crazy thing is, I always wear safety glasses. I must have rubbed my eyes and got it in there or something. It was a tiny little guy.
I think when I got mine, it was from drilling overhead to hang some shades and some of the shavings got in my hair then into my eye when I got a shower at home that night. It sucks either way.
Good thing Kev only runs the risk of getting something in his eye once a week!:lol:Quote:

You know what is pretty amazing? Look all the way back to the first pics you took of the car, and then look at now. Even though you have pretty much done this by yourself, it has come a long way. Let's go down and work on it tonight!
Its really looking good.
I've had metal removed twice, first time I had safety glasses on and the second time I had a face shield on. Now I wear both. It sucks, especially when the doc is grinding and one eye is shaking and the other one is staying still. Freaky. Hope it never happens again! Glad you're ok! Can't replace your vision!Quote:

Last night Matt and I sat out in our driveway and sanded on his ground effects. The little stuff like that is what takes so long. I'm sure we will probably be sitting out on the front porch with a beer or two in hand and sanding our fingers to the bone again tonight. I'll probably go straight from work and start sanding while I'm waiting on him to get off work.
Hopefully we will get them done tonight so they can get some primer sprayed on them. :bigthumb
Took out some aggression on the car with a hole saw and the cut off wheel the other night. I ended up with a 17 lb. pile of unneeded metal! Hell yea!
