For all you 2v guys here is a set of plastic valve cover. It took me a second try but I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. The color is bonded and extruded chrome. All I can say is this plastic is some tough stuff.

nice, i will be callin you soon man
those look REALLY nice, could you do inside the fins in black or is that to much taping off?
Man those 2V valve covers look sweet. It looks like I will be in the area this weekend. I might try to drop off the 4V valve covers then.
Thats cool Cameron. I will be here Saturday but I'm am having a party Sat night. I should also be here all day Sunday as well. Just let me know when you'll be in the neighborhood.
It was nice meeting you today Kenny. Nice set up that you have and once again thanks for the covers.
Hey Steve I forgot to remind you about cleaning the covers. Powder is much more durable than regular paint but you still only want to clean it with the same stuff you would clean the paint on your car. Brake cleaner and harsh chemicals will cause it to discolor so if you do get gasoline or other such stuff just try to clean it off quickly so it does not get a chance to soak in for a while. Good luck with the cars and I hope we can do business again.
Great, Steve's gonna ruin them... he cleans everything with brake cleaner!
No not everything just most things Jesse including my dishes and clothes. When we run out of laundry soap and dish washer detergent I just run back to the barn and grab a couple cans of brake clean.
Hey Ryan I could do that but it would practically double the price I would have to charge for them as it would be very labor intensive. I've heard of guys using model paint to do small areas and have had good results.Quote:

Here is todays work. Here is a set of control arms for a Jeep TJ, turns out that gray blue color I have matches the steel blue for Jeeps really well. I sold the first set of silver vein covers and here is pics of another set. BTW the covers are for sale if anyone is interested.

That stuff looks killer
i was just looking at my throttle bracket, There is a part of it that i am gonna trim off and clean it up. It would look good in red. I may be able to find something else that needs sprayed.
Anytime Brian, I should be able to get it back to you next day.
That's cool, I just got the car runing tonight i have a couple small things to do. I am gonna have to pull the valve covers off to adjust a couple rockers. So the bracket will come back off.
Here is yesterdays work. Set of quad wheels in the factory aluminum and now in black.

I'm ready when you are.Quote:
Well my weekend didn't work out as planned. One of these days I will make it down there
my wheels look great thanks
Glad you like. See you Friday
Here are a couple sample pieces I did last night. The darker one is called Solar Rain and it is a black transparent. The lighter one is black chrome and it does have more of a blue/gray tint to it. To get the best effect with these you need to lay them down over chrome or a nicely polished aluminum piece. Honestly I LOVE the solar rain, its a really wicked looking color.

You need your own sticky of pictures to use as a color chart!! I wish powdercoat would stick to body filler. I have a upper intake that has had some "bodywork" that needs color put on it
That is a great idea on the sticky, but that would be up to the mods. For future reference here is a link to a filler that will work with powder. http://www.alvinproducts.com/Content.asp?id=20
Have you ever done a paintball gun?
No, but I would be willing to take a look at one and see what all is involved. I know guys have done them so it can't be that hard. I just wouldn't want to quote and actual price on one till I could see what all would need to be done in person. Let me know if you want me to take a look at it.Quote:

Why? Do you know where there are some HUGE valve covers I could practice with?;)Quote:
You need some bigger parts to test that black chrome on?lol
Hmmmmm I wonder what my Rodlites would like in black chrome.
yes i do want you to look at it, when could i get it to you?
I want the body mirror black, The barrel mirror black also. The feed neck mirror red, eye covers red also, drop forward mirror red to.
does the solar rain have a red tint to it..?
Not really, I think what you are seeing is the reflection of my kitchen lights. It was so cloudy today I was trying to get a pic with as much light as I could.Quote:

The best thing to do would bring it to me assembled and then we could go over all the parts to be done and I could see how they overlap each other. That way I could make sure there would not be any interference problems. I have plenty of red and black so I could do it anytime. Just let me know when you wanna come down.Quote:
