That is exactly what I am trying to do, get it finished so you can drive it. :flipoff:

Damn!!! Looks like some nice parts!!! Now hurry up and get it done!
I'm working on it.
I bet it will make north of 200 hp lol. Nice parts get that dude running
Just fitted the engine block to the trans and got it in the car for the initial phase of the mock up. This is going to utilize an engine plate and mid plate, never done this before so I am going to be very cautious on everything. I have no doubt that I will be able to do this without any problems.

Next I will put the heads on and fit the headers, exhaust and drive shaft. I have to get everything set up and ready for the real engine that will be going in. I'm really going to try to keep my goal of having this running this summer. I'm going to let the engine builder break this in on the engine dyno so it is ready to go prior to the install.
great job!
Looking good
Thanks again guys...
umm, theres alot of holes in that firewall!
looks good man.
i think you might beat me getting done tho..lol
Looks great!
Where did you get the camshaft thrust plate you have pictured up at the top?
cant wait to see this car done
Looking good. Keep up the good work.
Saw this car yesterday in person. There is nothing half arsed on this car. And the X-pipe/exhaust assembly BTW looks like it could pass solid waste its so freaking big. Saying 3.5" exhaust and then seeing 3.5" exhaust is two different things. :bigthumb
The roll cage is some of the most beautiful work I have ever seen. Talk about some very nice engineering and fabrication work. SWEET!
Pictures do it no justice Shayne. You have to finish this car and roll it out for everyone to see. Even if it is only in primer. It is awesome.
Thanks guys, I appreciate the positive inspiration. I am going to keep things moving on this and have this running this year and racing next year.
You know it won't be able to move that vehicle under its own power without a certain young female toddler wanting to ride in it. Gonna install a place to mount a restraint seat? LOL!
I will have to make plans to make that happen Chad, she already loves to get in it and act as if she's racing it.
Here are a couple current photos, slow progress.

Keeps looking better
Chassis is for sale, posted it in the Car/Chassis For Sale thread. Not wanting to do this but really need too.
Decided to keep it, further progress to be reported as it goes.
Nice ride. Keep us posted.
looking good man
Looks like it came a long way. Keep up the updates.
Any updates?
The engine is currently being built at this time to my specs. Working on finishing up some body work to get it to the spray booth. No new photos at this time.
Here are a few current photos taken today. Taking a little longer than I wanted but I couldn't use the other cam I had so i had to order a custom grind billet cam. Not running a belt drive so the block needed to be machined for the timing chain. Short block will be finished the beginning of next week and the intent of the long block to be finished by the end of the week. I'm pretty sure I will run into needing to mill the intake because the heads have been milled and the block has been decked (.150). Crank is in the block, rods and pistons have been mated and went with a 9 key way billet true double roller timing chain. Currently file fitting the rings with the correct gap for NOS. Took the oil pan, timing cover, gaskets and intake bolts to the shop today as well. My expectations from this combo is mid to low 9's naturally aspirated and mid 8's on the bottle.

Hell yea man lookin awesome..
Thanks, yours looks like it is coming along as well. I just want to be running by this coming spring. I have never owned a car of this nature but have always wanted a mini tubbed coupe. It will be a whole other ball game but look forward to the experience. I have always wanted something like this since I was a teenager working on my dads cars (Mopar). Looking forward to getting my license and having some kick ass fun.
Short block is finished, decided to have the heads O-Ringed so they will be done tomorrow and the long block finished next week, here are few more photos.
