That's exactly correct, that is why I have no time to rush it.

Haven't really done much being I have been super busy. Just a small update but no pics at this time, just sent out the torque converter for PTC to work some magic for the new combo. It was currently set up for a N/A motor, they said it would be loose for the NOS.
Who all is using a PTC converter and how do you like it?
ive used ptc before and would use them again.
they are one of the best around and reasonably priced.
I am looking into ptc or fti for my converter needs, have heard great things bout em
I have used 2 ptc converters and my buddy uses one as well they are super nice guys to deal with and my converters even though they weren't for all out race cars have been spot on. I always talk to Tim when I call
I look forward to getting it back so I can get everything installed.
PTC shipped out the torque convertor on Monday so I should get it today or tomorrow, gives me something to do this weekend. With the help of my brother we were able to get the trans mocked up in the chassis to measure for the drive shaft length needed. I will be using the one I had made for the BBF but it will need to be cut down. I'm able to sit the SBF further back in the trans tunnel. Should be completely fitted by the end of the weekend with the exhaust and everything.
Getting close now
Just found out that my torque converter made it home safely, I can't wait so I'm on my way home now to play.
^^^ i know the feeling waiting on parts
After dealing with some other issues I finally got a chance to put everything together and then get it in. Not completely lined up yet but a very good start to it.

Should receive the carb on Tuesday. Bought a brand new Holley HP 950 for half the cost of new, couldn't pass it up. That was even with shipping. More photo's to come as I progress, if things go to plan I will have this running this year.
Looking good. Any plans for paint

Those valve covers are sweet!
Haven't messed with it much at all, been tryn to get brians finished and had to spend some of my toy money on truck so its kinda collecting dust right now lol
Can't wait to c it run
Well get it done then.. summer is almost here
Your absolutely correct, gotta get it done.
No pictures but made some progress on the car this weekend. Installed the drive shaft safety loop, marked the preliminary areas needing to be cut out for the motor plate mounting tabs and finally decided where to mount the ignition and switches. Only thing that I really hate is the fact that the Scott Rod panels on the frame rails need to be cut to mount the motor plate. Measured to get the needed length for my drive shaft to be shortened.
I got another month before I get my engine back. So hurry and get thing running. But its starting to come together.
I have some up dated photo's but haven't been able to get them posted yet. I have the interior dash, center console etc. almost where I need it to wire everything in. Started on bleeding the brakes, got the engine and trans close to where I need it to attach the engine plate and possibly the mid plate (not sure if I'm going to use it yet), order my fuel pressure regulator, fuel distribution block, fittings and black nylon hose. The rear deck lid is in the process of hinges being made to work and then the wing installation. The suspension is close but needs some fine tuning and then on to the alignment. Just trying to do the best with what I have to move this thing along before I need more outside help. I even purchased a Lincoln Pro-Mig welder to help with some of it. I will keep the updates as I go, hoping to have this running in August and possibly at the track come September for some good cool air. I have also decided to have the radiator fitted for AN fittings to help prevent any unforeseen. I replaced the driver's door hinge pins and installed the door, it works great and has nifty door handles that are a little more aerodynamic than the factory. I think I'm also going to remove the door mirrors to help with any resistance while zeroing in on the 1/4-mile but when the time comes, I will have to re-install them.
PM box full, shifter good to go?
Looks badass man... Good job
