    Pictures thread...of the Vin man

I know alot of pictures have been posted scattered among the different threads going on. But it would be nice if we could consolidate them all in one thread. I was also thinking if someone has time and access to a photo quality printer if they could print out the pictures and put them all on some poster board to bring to the visitation service to display and share the way we remember him. I didn't know how much I'd miss hearing two simple words.."hey guy".
    Thanks,
    Jeff

That picture around the campfire....that was the first time I met Vinny. It was the Columbus 2002 NMRA race. If I remember correctly, it was in early May and it got a little cold that night camping. Vinny had the absolute loudest Vortech supercharger I've ever heard. It sounded like one of those old air raid sirens.

I don't remember exactly what it was, just that he had a small pair of vice grips holding something together or pinching a vacuum line off on the engine.

We both raced Open Comp that weekend and spent a lot of time in the staging lanes together... it was the first NMRA race for both of us and I remember us talking about how much fun it was and how cool it would be if a couple of rookies won. Well, I bowed out in the 2nd round, running a 11.90 on a 11.91 dial in. Vinny went 3 or 4 rounds before he lost. Something happened with his shoe string getting tangled up on the clutch pedal causing him to miss a shift.

The coolest thing about that weekend... I gave Vinny my e-mail and he told me he would stay in touch...he did! A few weeks later(may have been a few months?) I got an e-mail from him asking about my car, life, etc. and telling me about stangbangerz. I've been here since.

Vinny is also the reason I've gotten back into the mustang world. I sold all of my stuff in 2003 due to kids and a new house. Last fall, I made it down to the Dirty Dozen and was talking to Vinny. He asked me when I was going to put something else together and that got the wheels a turning. He helped me catch the fever again.

    Damn...I hate this!

I was going thru my stuff lastnight to see what I had and found that I only had a few left. I lost quite a bit in my hard drive crash. Including some videos Like the Phone Killa, and Vinny trying to teach Holly how to do a burnout at QSL.
