    saving a dvd..

    ok i have this dvd camcorder, I'm trying to get the video onto my computer from last night. But i can't save anything or rip, it plays in the dvd player on the computer and the one in my flatscreen. Can anyone help me get this sorted?

    probably not.

    Most DVD camcorders are not able to upload to your computer. Thats why I wont own one.

    Should have bought a Mini DV camcorder.

    if it plays on the puter, see if DVD Shrink can pull it out.

    thanks i got it with that, just needed something to rip the dvd to the computer. I'll post some of the video up now

    Wow I cant believe that worked!

    Glad to hear. I have some good vid I need to rip that way. I like DVD shrink.

    I've been checking out DVD's from the libary and "saving" them to the 400 GB external HD. I can watch at any time, or use Nero 6 to burn it to DVD. Just drag the Video_TS folder over and burn.

    But the nice thing about it, instead of keeping the DVD's checked out for 28 days, I usually have them back in 2-3 days, so the next person can check then out.

    Lane Libary even carrys such titles as "The Devil's Reject's" and "House of 1000 Corpses" both by Rob Zombie.

    I wouldnt be telling everyone on a public message board that you are copying dvd's.
