Can't wait to see you out in it tearing up the neighborhoods. Its an awesome feeling once you fire it up for the first time. Makes everything seem like it was worth it.
Thanks Bob, I can't wait to fire it up in the garage for the first time and see what its going to sound like! I'm saving / selling for paint now, so once thats finished it will all be down hill from there.

i stopped out at ricks late last night, and the pics really dont due it justice.
the kit and the cage look really good!!
and hey, how do i get in on a piece of the 73 action?
Thanks brother! Fuel is pretty expensive, you wanna run the winner? With the amount of juice Greg is going to need, he'll probably need time to swap bottles anyway.

Ray came out tonight and we pulled the engine back out. We were talking about wheel and tire combos so I grabbed the welds out and put one on. The weld is a 15x10 with a 6.5" backspace, with a 275/50/15 MT drag radial. The rearend was cut 3/4" per side and it fits great! Fills out the wheel well nicely.

C'mon put a tire under that thing. 275/50 is way too small. Here is my same wheel/bs w/ a 325/50 w/ rear narrowed 2" on ea. side.

Yeah that looks great. I have a new set of 325/50's, just need to dismount these first. In hindsight, I wish I would have narrowed the rear a little more. Again, yours looks sweet!

Those tires came with those wheels, I'm pretty sure he has a set of 325's for it.

Well for once I kinda did it the way I should have. I tried the 325's w/ the stock width and it just rubbed more than I liked so I took it to Gary Rohe and told him to cut it to whatever makes them tuck nicely. So in the end the rear was cut to fit that tire. Now my problem will be that I wanna run a 17" wheel but I wonder how far they will sit it. You won't have that problem running a 17" wheel they acutally should fit perfect on yours. I guess you can't have it all.

Exactly, if you look at some of the other pictures where I have the 17x8 wheels off a 98 GT, they sit in board a little too much, but a spacer should bring it out just enough to look halfway decent. I have the welds, but I also wanted something else I could throw on to change the look from time to time.
I put all the wheel and tire specs with pictures so that if someone wants to duplicate it, it should be pretty straight forward.

It'll be perfect when you get the 325s on there Tricky. Car is coming out awesome and I can't wait to see you get it done. It's going to be one of the baddest notches around here.
With all that being said, I'm still going to bust that ass next year!
