In DIRE need of pushrod advice!

I just stuck a set of GT40P heads on my 289 bottom end, along with an Edelbrock Performer RPM flat tappet hydraulic cam, and Ford Motorsport 1.6 roller rockers. My pushrods are too short! has anybody put together a similar setup and knows what length I need? The car is my daily driver so I need it back up and running ASAP! Thanks.

Are you using stock length (6.272) pushrods for a roller cammed 5.0 ?? If so, they will be way too short if you're using a non-roller flat tappet hydraulic cam. I think you need about a 6.80 - 6.95 length. But, I would definitely check it with a pushrod length checker to get it exact....

I totally forgot about those man. I'll give you a call Tuesday and set up a deal.

I got it running about 2 hours ago- open headers and all. It sounds friggin BAD. I am quite happy with the result. I will put a couple miles on it over the next day or two, and take it to the track next weekend.
