    Slowly but surely making progress:

    Adjsutable seat bracket support

Interior sheet metal coming along nicely

Some detailed sheetmetal work near the pedal cluster

    Firewall complete

    Dashboard just about done

Gauges. They're Speedhut gauges, Revolution line. They're badass gauges.

Cool feature uses threaded rings to install them. They also have nice plugs for all the connections. You can also daisy chain the power/ground/lighting wires. Each gauges comes with the sensors, and is also a peak and hold. They also have a programmable warning LED.

With the proper tune and that turbo and chassis setup. This pinto should be a easy 9.xx 1/4 mile car.

I don't want to set any expectations for the car till we get it out there and start having some fun. We have an appointment on April 10th at E-Water to have the cage certified.

Ford 2300 based engine. Ford limited "production" tall deck block. Stroked to ~2.7 liters. Custom rotating assembly. Esslinger aluminum ARCA head. O-ring'd setup. Solid lifters, big turbo cam.

We ended up going with a external pump wet sump setup. The intake manifold volume is slightly larger than engine displacement. Each runner has a bell-mouth sticking into the plenum. Current turbo is a Super T-70. Exhaust turbo header is an equal length, equal degree of bend setup, out of stainless pipe.

3" turbo to AWIC piping, 3" transition to 4" out of AWIC, into 4" throttle with mechanical linkage.

Intake manifold pic from before it was finished.

No air filter, just a screen up front. Removed passenger side turn signal and replace it with a screen setup. Then ducted it straight to the turbo inlet.

For the AWIC setup we have a ~5-6 gallon insulated ice water tank. Off the pump we put a two way valve to pump it out to fill it back up with ice. There is a 6" fill hole for the tank for easy ice fill. Inside the tank there is a screen to keep large pieces of ice from getting chomped up in the pump.

Went with 4 piston Wilwood front brakes and hubs.

5 gallon fuel cell, Weldon pump, with pre and post filters. Rear trunk area has a full bulkhead to separate from driver compartment.

All aluminum interior, super lightweight. All custom made. G-Force GF5R trans. Long shifter.

Old picture, but shows the trans setup pretty good.

Footwell area. Mechanical linkage throttle, with fairly firm return spring. Mechanical brakes, mechanical linkage clutch to a McLeod Soft Lok clutch.

Old pic, but decent shot of the linkage

3.5" exhaust dumped right at firewall.

Rear end setup is a 9" setup, 4-link with wishbone locator.

Current status: Fluids have been filled, pressurized and leak checked. The car is waiting on me to finish up getting the tune ready, and then fire it. Then off to the dyno for some tuning.

    Pretty for a Pinto.
