    Tremec Shifters

I am using a B&M Ripper shifter on my pro shifted Tremec and I have had it for a long time. I never did really like the way it shifted but I never tried anything else.

I got to use a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter this weekend and it was the greatest shifter Ive ever had in my hand. I was very impressed with it. So much that I am thinking about ditching my B&M shifter and buying a Steeda.

Has anyone experimented with different shifters on a pro-shifted Tremec?

I think rscoupe uses a Pro 5.0 in his but I am not positive.

I think the Triax and Pro50 are the same shifter...

I run Steeda's in both cars and like them a lot!

There's a pretty big difference between the two. The Triax and the UPR are pretty similar. The Pro 5.0 feels a lot different.

I love the Tri-Ax with the MGW extension on my Road Racing TKO - and I do a lot of shifting both up and down!

I use a Pro 5.0 on my proshifted trans. I used a UPR or Steeda in my renegade car back in the day when I used a pro shifted tremec in it. I prefer the pro 5.0 with a longer handle than the steeda or UPR for some reason. In my street car I use a UPR unit. It's all personal preference but you have to have an adjustable shift stop in any pro shifted trans.

I loved the Pro5.0 shifter I use to use on my 3550 when I had a 5 sp in my coupe.

I have always heard good things about the Pro 5.0 shifter but I never have had one in my hand.

I know its a matter of personal preference to what you like the feel of, but thats why I asked here. Pretty much every one that has posted in this thread has a lot of experience
with Mustangs and banging gears in general. Im sure what works for all of you will work for me as well.

Looks like I need to get my right hand on a Pro 5.0 shifter.

    thanks everyone!
