    pi heads

A couple of years ago my wife said she wanted her own mustang so we set out and found one of the rare 96 tangerine orange 2v mustang gt which we now own. I have always been into 5.0 so the 2v/4v modulars are new to me. She is now wanting to do something with the car. A buddy of mine said to get a set of police interceptor heads for it. Can anybody tell me where to get a set for the car or if this is the best set of heads to add some power to it?

any PI heads will work but I suggest finding some Romeo ones. I think Steve might have some down at the shop.

Don't pay attention to Police Interceptor heads, that is not what PI stands for, and the Police heads are not PI heads until later years. You want a set of 1999-2004 GT heads, cams and Intake manifold. You need to not listen to the buddy of yours about your Mustang.

PI stands for Performance Improved, btw.

Yep, PI heads and intake from an 01 to 04 are the best to get because they are a direct bolt on for your Romeo 4.6 in the 96. It is very involved compared to a 5.0 to swap heads, but doable. You will notice about 40 rwhp when you do the swap and the seat of the pants feel is incredible.
