Johnny Kolivas set, reset, and reset the record on 275/60-15 radials (and in NMRA SSO) today with a 7.39, 7.36, and a 7.33 @ 195!!!
HOLY SHEET!!!
And people keep telling me I need to switch to slicks.

Congrats to Johnny!
After being told he could run 325s, then when he shows up, they tell him "no way".
Awesome!

Thanks hauling some mail right there
Mickey Radials? Either way that is insane for SSO
I wish my lawn was Emo so it would cut itself...
He is cutting mid 1.20 sixty foot times as well. Simply amazing!

The 275/60 is a wicked tire no doubt!

Drag radials can hook to the tune of 6 and 7 second et's you just have to have the suspension underneath you to plant all that power.....Kolivas obviously does!!

Best et to date 12.41, best mph to date 106.58 with a best 60ft of 1.59 on 26/8.5/15 Mickey Thompson slicks on a 64 degree day with 35% humidity all with 260rwhp and 320rwtq
Radial tires or not. 7.30s at 175 is impresive enough on a slick let alone a 275 radial. How about the 7.9x Jason Lee runs on 325 BFG radials That is IMPRESSIVE.

it was 7.33 @ 195 on a 275/60-15 Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial
Yeah I am pretty sure you can use a stand alone in SSO. I know he called on Monday and asked if he could run the 325. They said yes. He showed up and everyone was bitching about the tires. So it was determined that he wasn't allowed to run the tire.
Let the hater's hate! He's a bad man. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

That was an extra he had and didn't need any longer. Last time I talked to him he still ran the AMS. He runs a 7531 too. He can tune it any way he needs according to what's allowed, AMS, 7531, or the BS3. He's become a tuning mofo over the past couple of years. He originally used Job Spetter for his tuning but he's learned to do it on his own. He also tests more than anyone I know, with the exception of maybe Chris Tuten. His crew man, Jeff, is also very good with all aspects of that car. Very tough team. Just wait til he gets the twins on with the 315s.
Johnny K is a bad, bad man.

John won SSO at the Superbowl...on the little 275/60 mt dr's. Man knows how to tune the dots for sure.
