    New Toy. 17 Ecoboost Premium

Found a great deal on a 2017 Ecoboost Premium over the weekend. I have not had a mustang that was derivable for a few years so this is going to be fun. I have the stage 1 package for the Cobb tuner/air filter coming Friday. This video was the deciding factor in choosing Cobb over the other tuners. It shows the trans brake, 2 step, and line lock control. They seem to have the biggest following in the EB community.

I was hoping to hit Edgewater friday for a baseline, but not sure mother nature is going to cooperate.

Yellow........nice. That car would real nice on a set of forged Vossen VSF-2 20's. I have a set for a very nice price. Would look killer on that body style.

Pretty certain you are locked into a 17 on the back unless you do a brake swap out to a 13/14 rear that is smaller.........if that can be done. Tommy 2Tone can give the first hand skinny on this if he pops on.

The tuner is supposed to be here tomorrow. Ill get a good bottle of Bourbon and have to toast to the death of my warranty.

It also looks like the factory intercooler is a huge bottle neck and power robber due to heat soak and very high intake air temps. That will need to be the next upgrade.

thanks for the comments everyone. It feels good to have my butt back in a mustang seat again.

I did a rough measurement on the rear brakes last night. Looks like about 7.75" from center to outside of the caliper. Definitely going to have to go with 17" or bigger for drag wheels. I have a set of 95 tri-bars laying around. I might put some drag radials on them while I wait for a deal to show up on something nicer.

I remember buying my 03 Gt 14 years ago and it's amazing that an eco-boost and V6 Mustang could out run it now. So many don't realize that 300 hp use to be such a huge number of horsepower not so long ago. I'll probably be heading down to the track soon with my old 2.3 Turbo Volvo. Wouldn't mind seeing this car make a pass.

I almost bought one of those. The reason I didn't I was already looking up go fast parts before I bought the car. I wanted to get a car to drive to work that I didn't want get carried away modding. Those cars are super nice btw.

She loves it. She wanted a Buick Regal until she test drove this. It was over but the signing then.
