i agree
Liability issues probably. Craigslist is the same way. Probably has something to do with a background check and 7 day waiting period that wouldn't happen if you bought a gun from a forum.

private party sales require no backround checks. Thats why felons can purchase guns so easily. All you would have to do is hit up a gun show and buy what you want with no questions asked.
Dealers are required to run BG checks and everyone I have bought from a dealer had it done, gun show or brick and mortar store. Private seller you can buy from anywere unless they live out of state.
And if felons didnt have guns they would use a knife or club or anything else. Gun laws are flawed and most the time just hurt the law abiding gun owner.

This is a car site. There are certain liability issues and other factors involved with being involved with the sale of guns.
No gun sales allowed, period. It has always been the policy of this site from day one.

Everyone talks about politics and other bull shit that don't pertain to cars.
Simple rule of the site, no gun or ammo sales.
Don't like it, don't log in.
Simple concept.
Wanna sell gun or ammo, CSS allows it, go there.

Felons will purchase guns through any means if they want a gun. The last thing they care about is legality. After all they became felons by breaking the law to begin with. By purchasing a gun being a felon they are breaking the law. They make the life choice to lie in order to get the gun from the buyer to begin with. Therefore they are purchasing the weapon illeaglly either way. It's a life choice. I don't agree with the rule either, but if the rules say no gun sales, then no gun sales. Doesn't have to be a political or legal reason behind it.
Well said.
Craigslist doesn't because EBay doesn't. EBay is partial owner of Craigslist. EBay doesn't think anyone should own nasty guns.
Watch what happens when you try to pay for a firearms related purchase with PayPal (also EBay owned).
As for this forum. The owners, like EBay, have a choice on what can be posted on their web pages.
