    Volvo V8 Build

I am putting together a Windsor-powered '84 Volvo 242. I found the car on Craigslist last fall, powered by the Volvo B230F 4-cyl with an AW71 automatic transmission. The car ran and drove perfectly and reliably, so I decided to change that. I yanked the the engine, transmission, and harness and sold it off. Now I am putting together the new drivetrain. 5.0 and T5, with a couple little tricks. Nothing too crazy at this point- I just want to get the thing going down the road reliably for now.

Here are a couple progress pics.
    The car:

I have done (2) of these conversions, they are a blast!! I did a Flat Hood 242 @ 84 Wagon. I did the 242 w/ a Converse Conversion, the wagon I did a SBC w/ the aid a the JTR book. Have a great time with it, good luck!!

Rock on, Kevin! I may be bugging you if I run into any issues, if you don't mind. I have the Converse kit and JTR book, but I don't think I am going to use any Converse stuff other than the wiring harness.

Apparently I am an idiot- I bought an off-the-shelf generic set of 4.000" bore moly rings from Jegs instead of metric rings. That both set me back a few dollars and a few minutes. Oh well. I guess I get to drive up to Columbus again.
