he pulled his mgw shifter out of the base of the tranny ... broke a bolt ...

thx everyone, i will keep working on shift points, launching and tuning ... i think 10.4x's are within reason ...

I ran a couple of 11.000's, 6.9's in the 1/8 but I think my cheap crane valve springs are getting weak cause I couldn't finish the 1/4 before I heard a little valve float.

I did break the shifter like Rick said before I turned the bottle on

Put about 20 wire ties on the shifter to hold it, which worked for one pass then the 2nd one it came out in my hand

Trying to come up with something but its slim pickings with the way they put 2 different valve sizes in the gt40's and the way the spring locator is.

I am leaning towards trying to make the BB chevy beehives work some how???

Trying to learn these drag radials!!!!Its not wanting to leave at all. But I'll get it.I went a 10.62 n/a at tristate yesterday. Rich and a few others were there.I went 128 earlier that day but short shifted this pass..
