The engine is in but we ran in to a problem with the Quicktime bellhousing and the Canton pan.

Canton is sending me another pan with drain plug in a different location. With any luck it will be up and running within the next week.

New pans on, no more clearance issues. Hooking everything up now, should be running this weekend. He had bought a manual trans harness for it, turned out not to be for a 98, so he's got the right one coming, should be here tomorrow. Getting close, can't wait.

She runs! It even fired on the first try. There are a couple more things to button up and then hopefully it will be on the dyno by Thursday.

It's looking like next Saturday will be the first time Mike and I can get together long enough to get it on the rollers.

We have some numbers. the first round of break in and tuning produced 390 rwhp @ 6900 and 320 ft lbs @ about 5000. I am pretty happy especially since there is still more to come. On deceleration it sucking oil in through the PCV system which is made worse by the lack of baffles in the Trick Flow valve covers so we need to install an oil separator as a permanent solution. We are also going to get some fresh 93 for he tank since its been running on gas I last put in back in November of 2010. After that we are going to put in some race gas and some more timing to try and break the 400 mark. We also need to send the meter I bought back to Pro M because it appears to be bad and all the tuning was done with the stock meter.

I have to give a big thanks to Mike Bell for building a hell of an engine. It has exceeded my goals and has a bunch left in it with some more upgrades.

Gonna cool her down and put a little timing in it, see what happens. I think fresh gas is in your future, since we've burned up a bunch so far, lol.
