    Picked up a new toy.

It's a stag model 7. Comes in a 6.8x39 round. I haven't had a chance to fire it yet. Hopefully here soon. I need to get a optic for it asap also. Not sure what yet. Still needing to do some research on that.

Nice!! As far as optics, it really depends on what your going to use it for. You may want to look into Vortex, they are American owned and designed, but made in the Phillipines. I recently bought a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP, and it is very nice. They are very good quality and much cheaper than Leupold.

Here is link to a Vortex Viper HS, 5-15x44, it's mildot reticle is designed to be accurate at 15x, it's side focus and .10 mil. The .10 mil matches the reicle to make adjustments more simple.

Vortex is a very good company! They have a no questions asked life time warranty. They dont care if you shoot it they will replace it. The Viper PTS 6-24x50 is a very nice optic. One that is heavily talked about on long range forums that i am on. Best bang for your buck.

Great buy. I am glad that you got a Stag and not something like RRA. Change out that goof A2 stock. lol. Once you get a good scope for it post up some groups.

I plan on changing the stock out. Not sure what I'll go with yet. I'll check out the link posted also.

Magpul makes a stock w/an adjustable cheek and length of pull, it's around $250, but it will allow a good cheek weld for your scope. Another option that is neat and a little cheaper is the Nikon M-223, they have a model that has adjustable turrets for varying yardage. Basically, if your shooting a 55 grain bullet @ 3240 fps, you just dial in the distance to your target.
