Got the timing cover removed and old gasket cleaned off. I have to pick up the timing cover gasket set, 1 piece oil pan gasket and water pump tomorrow. Hope to get those parts and put it all back together soon. Get the balancer and pulleys on along with the alternator.

Got my gaskets and water pump. Removed the pan, replaced the gasket, installed the timing cover, balancer, water pump, pulley's and alternator. Looking like a complete motor again! I have to pick up all new bolts to get rid of the crusty old ones that stick out like a dick on a fish.

I still need to get a stock dipstick and tube and belt.

I should be able to fire it up once I get an MSD box. Once this is all done, Ill pull the tranny back out and get it rebuilt along with a new converter.

Am I the only one who laughed inappropriately at the visual of a fish with a dick?
