Thanks! I figured I'd have a pretty good bit of money wrapped up in having one freshened up so why not use this one. It had 28k miles so its like new. And it has heads, cam, and rockers already!

No probably not. I still have to take it back to Cornfield Customs to have the cab and bed mounted and to finish welding the frame up. Im working on making a battery box, running cables, fuel system, and ignition system so I can start it and run it through the gears. Just rigging it up for now till I get the cab and bed on.

Hopefully by spring of 2017 Ill be driving it!

Man that takes patience. Something I have little of. I want it done NOW! Not 3 years from now. I see these huge projects on here and think to myself, "dag how could a guy stay motivated to complete something that takes this long?" I'd be doing well to buy a ready roller, build an engine, and drop it in before losing interest. Much credit to you and others like Jess (stangman) who can stay motivated to see big projects like this through to completion.

Jesse is better at it than me!! The only reason Ive kept this one so long is because it was my buddy's that died. Ill never get rid of it. It may take forever to finish but someday it will be done!!!

Ive been working on this one a lot here lately. Got some of the front suspension pieces powder coated and back on. Still need to do the wishbones and front axle. Also put the motor and tranny back in.

Set the bed on after removing all the 85 year old wood. Still not channeled in this picture. Have to cut out the center frames and edges to make it clear the frame.

Cut out the subframe to start channeling the cab. What a bitch... But its all cut out and setting on the frame. Still not all the way done here.

Had to notch the back of the cab to clear the frame rails. Now its how it will set when its done. Other than the top is still to tall!!

Bed still needs to come down a little but overall its all close. Need wheels bad!!!

    Thanks!!

I haven't ever done one before but Im just winging it! I was looking at around $3000 to chop the top and channel the cab and bed. So I said hell with it, Ill do it myself. How hard can it be? Ive got a few friends that will be helping out since I suck at welding! Hopefully by spring, Ill have most of it done and have it driving under its own power.
