Sounds like an Oracle model (rail on the reciever and gas block). They're nothing special.

$700-$750 is normal retail if my memory serves me right. I'm not going to pay retail for a used gun, even if they haven't shot it.

My cousin has one, he likes it. They are very light weight. He has $650 in his with sights, and he bought it used.

I passed on it. Figured out it was model oricle. Loveland had a new one on the shelf for 780$. This guy wanted 750 and he lived in Georgetown. Would have cost me twenty in gas to get it. I was going to jump on it if it was a deal. Guy was firm on his price. I've got my stag 6.8 in the safe.

DPMS is owned by the Freedom Group now. Same people who bought Remington and Bushmaster. None of them are as good as they used to be but try aren't bad. I'm on AR15.com and pretty much the best gas operated AR out there is Rock River. Piston operated ARs are another story.

Right. Knights, Sig, Colt, LaRue, Noveske, Daniel Defense, yeah, they all suck

Do you really want to pay 1500+ for a knight, Sig, Daniel defense, etc when you can buy a RR for 1000 and it's the same quality? I looked at a Daniel Defense UPPER and it was 1200... If you have money to blow on a name, be my guest.

If I added "best out there (for the price)" would that make more sense?

Because you're not getting an anti-rotational foregrip? That's the only difference I could see between the $1800 Daniel Defense and my $900 RR.
