Thanks everyone! It’s definitely something I dreamed of doing since I was kid to this car. Back then it was either a 302 or even 340 engine. Thought Vopar would been a good name to replace Volvo with. Can’t wait to crank it over.

Old member on here years ago swapped a 302 into his Volvo. Mailman was his name. Havent seen him in years. Fell off the face of the earth it seems.

Making some progress again. Ran wire for the starter and located the hot wire in the engine bay.

I’m going try starting it next weekend. I have to move a gas line over from the exhaust manifold and hook up the fuel pump trigger wire to the relay. Also pick a better signal wire. Crossing my fingers now. I got the new firm ware in the Holley terminator today. It was good seeing it turn on for the first time.

Went to check the fuel pump and noticed fuel was flowing out of the back of the car. The return hose
needed replaced. I finished that today and got the car on the ground. Goal is to see if it will start tomorrow then I’ll clean the car up.

Gotcha. Im gonna be paying close attention. This may be the same set up that we may run in the S-10. Ive tried to talk him into a Coyote swap for it but he didn't want to do it.

Replaced the throttle cable today with an aftermarket one. Also added an adapter for the seam pipe to the radiator.

Brought it outside for the first time to take a better look at it.

Had to replace one fittings since I could get it to stop leaking. Ohio hydraulics is a great place to go.
The cam has more lope than I expected.

I don’t think even with the muffler it will prevent people from knowing something is in there. Anyway it sounds cool coming from the car.

I had pretty good leak coming from my transmission just sitting. I used a rubber gasket that came with the filter. Decided to buy a oem gasket. So far so good.

Thanks! It was nice driving it after it sitting so long. The motor puts off so much more heat compared to the 4 cylinder that was in it. Not really sure how to cool down the engine bay.
