I have a 3400 stall and 8.8 to install before the track. I’ll need to get the driveshaft updated for mounting to the new rear. I will be upgrading the front brakes next. The more I look the more random parts I find for this thing.

I may have to. I like the nice ride but I may have to give some of that up.

Got some goodies this week. Stronger torque rods, weld on 8.8 Volvo 240 brackets and part of my custom front upgrade brake kit. Decided to upgrade the brakes.

I found some wagon overload springs that the owner didn’t like. (one on the bottom right). So this weekend these springs will be going in. May replace the shocks depending on how it rides.

Added the springs. Added couple inches to the ride height. Rear of the car is much stiffer.

Thanks Chad, It drives nice on the road with the tune I got in there. The only thing that I’m having a hard time with is stalling during stops. It’s hit or miss. I’ll keep messing with it.

You'll get it. The tuners I have worked with as well as the book I have read say that the idle is the hardest part of the tune.

The first run of 03 Cobras had a habit of stalling when coming to a stop. Even Ford's calibration engieners struggle with it. The 2nd run had a different strategy and the stall was gone.

I had that issue. Kerry Ford flashed my ECU to fix it on my 03. I ended up having the issue again with my FIPK K&N but it was when I was coasting on the Highway. Going to a different Cold Air intake fixed it.

Made some progress on the 8.8 explorer rear end. I can’t seem to find new dust shield/backing plates for it. I’m hoping to cut the longer tube down this weekend.

I got it cut down. Going mark and tack it for a professional welder to weld it.

The drill fixture worked and the rear is ready for the welder. Should have it welded up probably in the next week.

This guy is one of those rare engineers that can do as well as draw it up on paper. Thumbs up Joe! Amazed at everything you are doing with this project.

Thank you Chad! There is definitely a mix on hands on and design only Engineers.

I’m getting the rear welded up tomorrow afternoon. Put some tacks on it today. So ready to have two spinning wheels.
