I'm pulling the Volvo out of the garage today after finishing spacing the transmission to drop it for a bit of clearance. Now I got put the terminator in the garage for another failing wheel bearing. I thought it was driving weird again after the spring cruise in.

Going to run the Volvo next Friday. Going remove the excess weight today. Hoping for a 13.5 or better. I guess I'll just see how it goes.

Thanks! I surprised my buddy in car ride tonight in the Volvo. He also told me my Cobra felt as quick as his buddies new ZL1 10 speed. I'm wondering what those cars are turning at the track here. I'll take at least a incar video of the Volvo.

Just a ported V+ Eaton with a 2.7 upper. With a 2.8 Upper it went 11.5@120.8 and after that I really never pushed it much further. It makes good power to redline without dropping off much. Every now and again I want to upgrade but for the streets it's plenty fast. 2011 is about the time I stopped taking it to the track. I do enjoy seeing your and other people's times with these cars. It's cool to see them still giving all these high power car new cars issues at the track.

So first out at the track since the build. The car ran well and I think with a 1.8 instead of 2.0 sec 60 time I should be right around a 13.5. I'm going to up the boost a couple lbs, port the exhaust manifold, intake a bit and try again. I'm hoping for under 13.5 next month.

It's been more of what hoped it was in high school since it's my first car. I really didn't know how to make it that fast back then, haha. I'm being told on Turbobricks my turbo is my restriction now. I was pretty maxed out on the stock turbo on my Srt-4 around 285whp on a fwd stick shift. I'm guessing this car is making 240-250 whp through an auto and rwd on a similar turbocharger. I got the intake and throttle body about done porting. I'm going to polish them this week. Next weekend I'm going pull the exhaust manifold and turbo. I'll do the same to them. I took a decent amount of material out today. I'm also running a full exhaust. Maybe I can put a dump in before the Cat.

I found some news tonight with a major boost leak that I must had for awhile. The bov/bpv is leaking a ton air into the atmosphere since it does not seal after doing a air compressor pressure test. I found one aftermarket BPV that should solve this issue. I just have to decide if I want spend money to buy it,haha.

I've been wondering why I've added 5 lbs of boost to the car and it's still isn't going any faster. I went ahead and ordered the bpv. I couldn't get the intercooler piping to hold any pressure tonight during the test. I'll try the car out again at at Edgewater once I'm done with these changes.

Found another boost leak. One of the injectors seals wasn't sealing into the intake manifold. I just fixed that one.

I'm not a fan of bleeding brakes on a 27 year old car. What started out as a 8 dollar 30 min project turned into 3 new calipers, brake hose, 2 brake lines and hardware. I should have it done this weekend.

Haha! Yeah, something tells me the 4th one was replaced before because it was only one that was not corroded and the bleed valves worked. I probably couldn't get the brakelines off it anyway. I'm leaving it alone for now.

Best of luck to you! I need to invest in a bubble flange tool, 3/16 line and fittings one of these days. They have Three different upgrades for brakes for these cars. Rx7, s60r and Ats Brembo brake caliper conversions. I just went with the rebuilds this time. It allows me to run the 15" wheels I race with.

When do you think you'll have your Mustang on the road?

Man, I don't know. I just finished Cam's car and now I'm working on the last 2 big projects. Hoping in october so I can have some decent weather to drive it. It's coming out with a 2.5L stroker with billet rods, cp pistons and a ported head with bigger valves, springs and turbo cam. I am anxious to drive it. But I feel guilty anytime I work on my own stuff and not the customers that are eager to drive their cars as well. Tough spot for me.
