Starting put the accessories in. The pressure line on the Volvo Rack and Pinion is the same thread size as the GM pump. The exhaust manifold clears pretty good. Should be able to start routing the exhaust pipe soon. Also I’m about 90 percent done with the throttle to Volvo gas pedal. Should of bought a adjustable cable but I’ll make the GM one work.

It really isn’t too bad, it’s been fairly good so far. I have made some mistakes along the way. There is another guy who’s putting in a 4.6 3V in his. Really impress with the amount of up front work he’s doing. I thought the below was pretty cool he showed in a post.

That's impressive! The 4.6 has some size on the LS too. Looks like he might know what he is doing!

Happy Birthday too by the way!

I’ll be picking up the driveshaft today. Decided to throw in a new tail shaft seal. I may only use the 12 ton press a few times a year it’s still definitely worth it.

I got the new driveshaft installed. Trying to figure how to mount the turbo and route the exhaust.

Harbor Freight press? That's what I have and I love it for what it is and how cheap it was.

    What turbo is that?

Yes Harbor freight press, after I got new a bearing pressed into my 03 cobra Knuckle for 50 dollars at a machine shop it was a no brainer to buy one.

Just a 130 dollar GT45 ebay special. I found some test on it. It will make 800hp and this guy below has been flogging on it for years. I had good luck with the Maxspeeding company with my last turbo. The last turbo I beat on for 3 years and it’s still tight. I’ve had Garrett and Mitsubishi turbos that needed rebuilt in less time. LS Volvo guys wanted talk me into a 7875 turbo since they’ll make more power. I can worry about that in the future.

Hard to beat that turbo for the price! Very good comparison of them all. I kinda figured that the S475 would be the one to make the power but the 1.32 made it lag on the little 4.8.

Sounds like you have a real good plan to make some power. Will be interesting to see it done and making passes! Gonna be real cool!

This took me way longer than I thought but I found a home for the turbo.

Mounted few things today, the coolant hoses, new over flow tank is now mounted. Going to start working on the exhaust and intercooler piping next. After that I can start wiring it up.

2.5 bar map sensor Barb was larger in diameter than stock one. Drilled out a larger hole to get it to fit.

Didnt realize I had to drill through 3/8” of metal to just get the screw hole through.

The turbo took the spot of the factory overflow tank.

Started on the down pipe. Going to mate it to the existing 3” exhaust system. Got intercooler inlet figured out today.

I hope someone ask me if it’s a Volvo engine. I’m thinking about putting on a Vortec 6000 engine cover and change it to say Volvo 6000.
