Rules that only apply to whoever they choose to bitch at. Such as a car can run 9.1 at 155 mph without a cage over and over again. But then a another guy runs 11.1at 130 mph and he gets kicked out. I just want to run a couple good runs and that'll probably be it for me. I can't afford to break this thing right now.

Tristate has been real easy as far as tech the few times I ran there. "You have a catch can"? "Yep". "Your good then"!!! That's all they cared about. Not being sanctioned by NHRA makes it easier. IHRA vs NHRA.

I've never been there but it would be nice to be able to run all out without getting in trouble. I just want to run a couple times and that's it. When I ran at KK I hit the brakes right around the 800'-900' and ran a 10.4 @ 90mph and when the guy gave me my time slip he was shaking his head when I was still driving up and said, "You just had to stay in it didn't you?! Don't do it again!" I honestly thought i was going to run a 11.5 or slower. To get a car to run fast and be legal to run gets stupid expensive. I'm at the point where I'm done throwing money at this thing. I could of had a Lamborghini Gallardo at this point.

The money gets out of hand quick at those power levels. Safety isn't no joke though. There has been a lot of people wreck and even die lately due to the lack of equipment.

Lyle Barnett has a very good video out since his wreck. Granted he was running 4.0's at close to 200 mph. The biggest thing is to live and race another day.

True. Since I don't have a cage I only want to get a couple good runs in and be done until I get what I need. I need a built rearend, 15" wheel conversion, carbon drive shaft, and a 8 point cage. The cage is $5500 since its wrapped in leather. They have to fit it perfect (which I want) and its going to cost allot more $$$$$$. This may be a few year project to get it where I want/need it.

If your going to do it, might as well do it right and how you want it. No reason to cut corners.

Isn't it going to be hard to certify a cage wrapped in leather?

Certified then wrapped is probably how it will be done. Then a spot left open for the sticker.

Sorry. The dash is wrapped in leather. They're going to have to cut it and form it around the cage. Which is going to take allot of time apparently. Also id like to get the cage wrapped in leather as well but that's not included in the price.

Ran into another issue. ERL made 3/8" 5th and 6th bolts and LME drilled the head for 8mm. So now I have to drill and tap the heads. Not looking forward to cutting up these heads.

The block is a 6 bolt block. The 5th and 6th bolts on the block don't match the heads.

Been kind of slacking with updates. I got behind waiting on fittings for the intake and fuel system. I also custom made a four point stream vent system to help with cooling. I'll post pictures of it when I get a chance. The fuel pumps are in. Now I just have to put it back together. Only took me a little over a hour to put them in.
