Not sure. Car shut off about the 900' mark. Tried starting it and it wouldn't crank.

Bad detonation? I've never seen valves sprinkled like that before. Was that from part of the cylinder bouncing around in the chamber?

There is a piece of the top piston missing, it appears that is what was bouncing around in there.

Is it so bad that you wouldn't be able to rebuild with what you have?

The top land broke off and hot the top of the head. Assuming it shot out the exhaust. I'm not sure what caused it. The car ran for 2 years with more power just fine. I put a different blower on it and it blows within 100 miles.

I have to see if the sleeve it damaged. I may be able to get it resleeved with much thicker sleeves.

I decided on which block to go with. I wanted keep the car numbers matching. I'm sending my block to ERL for a all aluminum 427ci 6 bolt block with 1/2" ARP head studs, dragon slayer crank, billet I beam rods and weisco pistons. Upgraded everything I could. I don't want to do this again. They claim they have cars with over 1800hp with this block. With a couple running 6's in the 1/4 mile. If you're familiar with the Ohio Boys or Ray Litz. This is the exact block they use. Still haven't decided on which 6 bolt heads I want to go with. For fuel I'm going with ID1700 injectors, triple walbro 485 pumps, controller, all stainless lines and fittings and all the wiring. This should be enough fuel to run E85 to 2000hp. Once it's done it should look like the block below. They have finished short blocks but like I mentioned before. I want to stay numbers matching. Another thing I've been thinking about is upgrading to a F1x Procharger. There's a quite a few Vettes putting out 1500+rwhp with a good combination. I'll decide once I add up all the parts. Im currently using the 3.33 pulley. It's biggest pulley for my 2200r. So im basically barely using it to its potential. The car ran 10.4 @ 104mph hitting the brakes before 1000' mark. I feel if the track would of been better and I ran a full pass. I would of had a 9 second pass.

That's going to be awesome. Better blower probably had more cfm and it went lean. I have a head that looks similar but I'll have it fixed and pop the spare piston in it.

If your going to buy new fuel lines, look into teflon lined hoses for the E85. Supposedly it's a lot better.

I believe they are teflon lined. I'll make sure. This entire fuel system was built to run E85.
