I need to get my head out of my ass and get mine done. Gear is in, but I still need to get the lower pulley on, injectors ordered and installed, and back on the dyno.

Then Im sure I will need a better cage... Where does it end?

I don't think they'll bitch about going .2 faster than your cage is certified. At least you have one lol.

I just hate to deal with it. Id rather be safe up front. Most of the time, its another racer that bitches about it that gets you looked at.

Good luck on the roll bar if you get into the 9s. Every time I ran my Mustang there I was kicked out until I got the 8.50 cert cage. It's the only reason I did it. Had the same problem at KK as well.

Thanks Tony! That's what I was wondering. I hate to do it but I might have to.

It's weird that they pick and choose who their going bitch at. I've seen guys run 8's with no cage or roll bar.

I got the same thing for that Rick. No roll bar padding and I had to stay under 11.50's.

First pass was a 10.80 I think and they didn't say to slow down so I didn't.

I got bitched at for no cage as well after I went back to back 9.7s in the eclipse early in the year. Went back with the new motor and they got on me for no roll padding in tech. Went 9.7 then a 9.57 and never heard anything that day, but I loaded it up and didn't push my luck any more. The next weekend they asked for NHRA license and got on me for my cage, limited me to 6.5s in the 1/8 and 10.0s in the 1/4 that day.

License... Now there is another thing I need to get if it picks up much. Where does it end?

I'm just going to build mine as fast as I can. If I go to the track I'll probably go to clay city or Thornhill. They don't have cage restrictions. I hear Tristate is pretty laid back. Plus my buddy just bought Vengeance racing's 1500rwhp twin turbo z06. With recent mods it made 1780rwhp. We've been talking about doing the 1/2 mile events. They don't have cage restrictions like the drag strips.

They all have cage requirements but whether or not they choose to enforcement is something entirely different.

With all the crashes lately, Id rather be safe. I can think of a few right off that wouldn't be here without a cage.

All this HP & $$$$$ you guys are adding/spending and you are NOT putting in a cage?? Thats just stupid. Let me know how that works out for ya when you lose traction and go head first into the wall and barrel roll down the strip.

    Case in point....

I sure was glad I had a cage and other safety equipment when I hit the wall at E20 years ago. Rang my bell, but I walked away.

Amen. I never can figure out why people are so resistant purchasing the required safety equipment but will spending huge sums to make more and more power.

I can't wait to watch the blue car run. It should be insane once you get it all sorted out.
yes, you'll def start getting some heat at that power level.

me too, we got the holley sorted out this weekend, 23 hours to get all 8 cylinders going,

turns out holley had the cylinders marked wrong on the plug and play harness.. so much for plug and play lol
