Yep I will come find you guys. Probably will pit with True Street instead of SST. There is a guy who has a Rousch Stage 3 , red , that I pitted with at Trails. I think he is going as well.

weather looks sucky again for this year BG....Its been a bad year weather wise for NMRA, either cold, rain, or hot as balls. On the flip side, weather has been changing constantly since I Have been checking this morning, bouncing from 50% to 20% rain. If anyone from the east side is considering going and wants to ride together hit me up. I will probably decide based on the latest forecast Friday.

Sunday looks like the best day right now. Wonder if they will run a shortened program on Sunday?

We are meeting Saturday morning @ the I-75 South rest area south of the river just before the 75-71 split to load my car on a hauler and hear there @ 5:00am. And again if the weather is looking like crap I am not worried about it. As for cool air? Will be nice for a change to have some mine shaft air in stead of 3400 DA @ 90 degrees. May see a 10.80!

Leaving the rest area at I-75S in KY just south of Exit 178 at 5:00AM if anyone wishes to cruise with. Just look for the White 2014 GT on a trailer.

I didn't even think to look for you. I was down there most of the day with my son. Weather ended up being decent most of the day with little interruption for rain. Apparently that track was hungry because seen quite a few cars break.

Don't think about it. It was a crazy day. Glad you and the boy got to have some F/S time together.

It was making me nervous seeing all of that. I saw several 2015+ cars break on the line in the True Street Class.

I ended up 3rd in the 13 second class. I ran a 13.09 in test then ran a 13.03 after a tune change on the 1st pass. Didn't get my tranny warm enough for the next pass and ran a 13.06 for a 13.04 average with the winner running a 13.01. Went 3 rounds in Bracket 3 ending on a red light But I didnt change my dial in which has been my downfall in other races. I ran a 12.99 on my time trial and then dialed a 12.85. Round 1 I ran a 13.02 on a .025 Tree to get a 0.0691 win. Round 2 I drew a bye run and ran all out still hitting a 13.00 on a 12.85 dial with a .120 Tree which would have been a 0.27 package. Round 3 I redlight but I ran a 12.99 on a 12.85 dial with a .019 redlight. I felt my package would have been lower than the other guy. I ran in the left lane except for 1 pass and I liked it better even though it seemed that a lot of people took the right with lane choice.

Maybe im missing something here but in the bracket race why would you dial a 12.85 after a 12.99 and 13.0x pass?

When historically for whatever reason I would always pickup .15 or better in the next run , yes. I log all my stuff into a Google sheet and looking back over the last year - anytime I time trialed then ran eliminations where I adjusted my dial down from either the time trial or 1st elmin - I broke out an average of .15 . So rather than beat myself by breaking out , I chose to set an aggressive dial in and try and hit a nice light to give a good package. Whether it is the tranny getting to the optimal temp or hooking better on those runs - every time I changed the dial - I broke out. I log track conditions , tire pressure , and the data from my x4 so I can look at all factors when making a decision.

For whatever reason at BG this weekend a lot of people were off the dial in B3.

Guess that is the novice racer in me. This is my 1st full year at it so I am still learning.

Im by no means an expert but bracket race for a few years. Maybe next time try dialing your run and play the stripe. Its easier to slow down then speed up.
