F**K Photobucket !!!
Thanks guys!
Shit, he postponed it till tomorrow.
TOTALLY different car now! Before, with the pedal releasing 1/4" off the floor, I couldnt shift this over 4500. Now, HOLY SHEET!! 7600!! Too much fun!!
Ole girl shines up pretty good.
Im going to find a way to get the polished front runners to match. After seeing it out and about with mis-matched rims, my OCD is in overload.
Whens the next UMTR race???

lookin sweet and even a little "naughty innocent" like it needs its cherry popped by making a pass or two. A song from Night Ranger is running through my head...LOL!
Getting the Mustang ready to go to Clay City on Saturday to run with the UMTR. I figured I might as well do some T&Tn and have a chance to actually race at the same time.
Hes down to go racing!
Finally getting around to adjusting the Strange Struts & Shocks...
but I aint qualified! LoL! I guess I better take a wrench with me.
Ken B sent me a new tune to try out.
So I loaded it up and went and did some data logging. This tune feels stronger, but has some idling issues when its cold, but once its warmed up, its all good.
Im looking forward to getting back to the track and seeing what the Mustang will do. It feels really good on the street, (although 1st and 2nd are kind useless with street tires) when I push 3rd and pull 4th. It comes on real strong from 4000, all the way to 7800!
Anywho, thanks for tuning in!

Finally! I got the bugs worked out of the Mustang and I was able to get to the track! UMTR was racing at Clay City on Saturday, and I figured that would be a decently prep'd track, so I loaded up and made the 1-1/2 trip over.
KENTUCKY Dragway (Clay City) is actually a nice facility. The return road needs some Love, but everything else is nice. Plenty of Pit parking.
Ive been 160 here in the Nova, and there is plenty of shut down.
Even Racing Jesus approves!
Best pass of the day, was my 1st pass. I only got 3 runs, but it was well worth the $40. Normal T&T is Fridays, at $20 and they Radial Prep!
1st Round, I got paired with this Gorgeous 67!
3" X-pipe with Magnflows sounds pretty sweet.

Now I just need to install a 2 step and get my 60' down and I, hopefully, will have a 10 sec, NA Mustang!

Im thinking 10.90s, 10.8's on a great day & prep'd track?? I dunno, but Im looking forward to finding out!
So after my outing last Saturday, I decided that the Coupe HAS TO HAVE A 2 STEP. So I made the call to ATECH and ordered one up.
Its pretty much a "plug n play" kinda deal. You un-plug the coil packs, plug the MSD into them, then the original harness into the MSD harness.
All finished up under the hood, you cant tell anything was changed.
Ill just get some 3M 2 sided tape and secure the module here in the glove box.
I want to use the button on the shifter handle to activate the 2 step, so I had to come up with a switch to activate the Line Lock. The Lever for the AC/DEFROST/HEAT still functions and it depresses the switch.
I figured this lil micro-switch would do the trick! I was just hoping it would still work after 30+ years.
Key on, Lever up, Nothing. Key OFF, Lever Down, Nothing.
Key ON, Lever down, VIOLA!! We have Line Lock engagement! Key off, Lever down, Nothing!
I didnt have a chance to use the 2 step last night as it was late when I finished up. However, this AM, it Worked!! I set it to 3000 and slowly brought the RPMS up. It hit 3000 and stayed there until I released the button!
Now hopefully I can get the Struts/Shock settings figured out and Blast me a 10 second, NA run!!
Ill be out of town next week, but the following week, Id like to head back to Clay City as their T&T is $20 and they PREP the track! If I get it squared away, Ill be coming up to race with the UMTR on Oct 19th! Yeah Im NO fan of Dick Weinle at all, but my Love for Stick Shift racing overrides my lack of liking him.
See yall soon.
