I talked to Tug yesterday and he WANTS to allow Tamers in the series. As long as you release your clutch with your foot, and not a TransBrake style solenoid, then you're good to go.

I had a Great time at the track on Saturday. I went out 1st round, but it was cool to be out with other people enjoying our time doing something we all love. We had 20 Street Stick guys show up and had a Guaranteed $500 to the winner. Quick Stick, 21 guys and a Guaranteed $1000 to the winner!

Not a PB, but at least its back together.

Not a fan of stickers, but when the companies are paying $$$ and supporting the UMTR, I will run em.

At least I got put out by a cool car.

Well it started off as a good day...

I drug the ole Stang to work with me so that I could leave and head straight to the track. (Ohio Valley 1/8 mile) I was hoping to work on my reaction time and 60'

Got teched in and headed to the lanes. Dude actually looked over the Stang.

My buddy, Paul was with me so he snapped the pics and videos.

My 1st hit of the night.

Nice! I got a decent 60' and a claen hit to base my next runs against.

Let the Stang cool off a bit, checked tire pressure, set the launch to 6800 (from 6400) and this time, Id activate the Tamer.

Well, thats not good. Was looking for 3rd gear and it was not there. I hit it, but then the shifter popped out and then that sound of ugliness came from under the car. Mother Fugger...The smell of trans fluid on hot headers knew that I , once again, have killed the trans. Seeing the fluid on the ground, that just verified it.

After 7 total hits, since I had this rebuilt, its back on the trailer, broke yet again.

I was also rewarded with a trailer coated with NAsty Ass, stinkin trans fluid as well.

Anywho, its already on the lift and I should have the trans out sometime tonight.

I didnt see any windows, in the trans, so thats a good thing, but Ill know more later on.

Always something with a Stick car...

When I break something, I BREAK the mutha Fugger.

I think Ill let it sit for awhile until I decide which route I want to go. I enjoy banging gears, but also enjoy running 160+ in the 1/4 mile.

Damn fine job. That rivals some of mine. Which gear let go? Hard to tell.

Damn. If it popped out there could have been a slider issue. They wear quickly and start popping out. Sorry to hear this happened again. It sucks and it's expensive. I got tires of fixing 2 after each race. Clutches were killing the trans.
    Which clutch are you running?

One good thing came from all the $$$$ I have invested in this POS TKO600...
Jacob Lamb's son needed some parts for his TKO, so I told Jacob to come get this out of my garage. He wanted to pay me for it, but his family is going through a lot of shit right now, so I asked him to help me at the track when I get it back together.

Now Im torn between a 6 Speed Magnum and a G101A. Do I go Full retard, I mean Racecar, or keep it on the street...

KEEP IT ON THE STREET SIDE! Too beautiful of a vehicle to be limited to a trailer and a few passes each week. If you plan to do that, sell it, buy a Camaro with an LS and turn it into a trailer queen...I mean race car...same thing.

Tough call. I'd love to see it stay on the street but it sucks to see you keep dumping money into these transmissions only to have them break on ya. If you are sure a Magnum won't blow up too then it'd be cool to see you go to that route and keep it streetable but you might have to go with the G101A, just so you can pretty much not have to worry about it and have a bit of piece of mind. Crazy to me that you keep killing these things with a NA 'yote that's not max effort and is in a much lighter chassis now than what it would have came in. I mean, what's going to happen when you start spraying the damn thing?
