Actually I ran slicks for Years on the car at the track. I could do 4000-4500 clutch drops with them having 1.6x 60 ft runs. I sold them when I stopped drag racing the car. It’s actually safer on the axles. Wheel hop, loading and unloading causing the axles to bind breaks them. Slicks keeps the geometry right and softens the blow on them.

You're gonna need em.
Now just waiting on that warm weather to get it out Im sure! Have you had a chance to try it at all yet? Sure its a completely different car.

I blipped 3rd at 60 and the tires spun. The boost is instantaneous. I’ll wait for a warmer day. What I’m really enjoying is the drivability. The car idles nice and drives well. So far my favorite part. This is probably my favorite setup on the car this far. I’m glad the LFP Tb idles down and doesn’t stick.

Nothing worse than a sticking throttle body... My Accufab on the silver Cobra stuck from day 1 and I hated it...

My dragon would idle around 1500-1600 rpm sticking. Sent it back to manufacture 5 times. Best it would do was 1200 rpm and sometimes stick. I traded it on a ported welded stocker. I ask for years what people had the least problems with on the Cobra. The LFP and Gt500 by VMP had best results. I was very hesitant to buy one though.

I kept my stock TB when I put on the Whipple I know I'm giving up some HP, but it drives and idles exactly like it did the day I drove it off the lot brand new- just with another 200 HP under the hood.

You can’t go wrong with stock TB. I’ve had the best luck with them. Hope the LFP treats me well.

3.14xR^2 = area of a circle. valve stroke is not linear whether you are controlling flow of a liquid or gas state of matter. So as the opening metering maximum flow gets larger the more critical control of the flap position becomes. makes sense why the OEM TB would be the better option. I am battling that question as well before my next retune.

Dual or single?

Lol, single
They are rated at 1183CFM at 28” of. The 03 Cobra twin 57mm is rated at 1089 at 28”. You could probably get rough estimate on draw through supercharger system. Your probably better off seeing before and after on similar builds. Too many variables to see what kind of restriction you would have. I would think you would be fine around 600 whp on draw through system just based what I’ve seen on Cobras. Still that is just guessing. What have you guys seen on 5.0s with the stock Tb power wise on which supercharger?
Joe
It might be 0 degrees outside now but Sunday is going to be Sunny and 58. I’m going to finally get a chance to drive my Cobra.

Sorry no videos, the car would make the tires light up on demand in 1st and second. I could even ease into it and break lose at 60 in second. Third is a safer gear. I’m surprised they make cars from the factory with more power than this. I hope the owners who buy them know how to drive them, haha.

Good to hear you are out enjoying it!
I cant wait to get mine back out come spring. May have another one out too. Just a lot slower!
