    Helmets

My helmet is snell 95 which im pretty sure is now out of date. What helmet does everyone else use and where did you get it? I always used my motorcycle helmet, but figure a car specific helmet might be the way to go.

Does Edgewater look at the helmet tags when they tech the cars?

They look at helmets pretty close. Mine is a Simpson Bandit SA2015.

Yes. Even E20 looks closely at this. Helmets are good through 10 years of SNEL date on the helmet.

I have been eyeing a racequip for a new karting lid from here http://www.usracegear.com/. They have a physical location inside Full Throttle in tri-county as well.

Racequip makes a nice fitting full face. The BEL was a tad bit more comfortable, but for the price difference an the amount of time you have it on it was not worth the difference IMHO. I went with the matt finish black and it still looks like new.

Anybody else looked at the VOZZ RS 1.0 "clamshell" type helmet? Looks pretty cool to me.

Cool design. I don't how I would like the fit being that it pretty much clamps around your head.

Not sure if that's something that would be legal for drag racing either.
