So I finally got around to putting the hood release and cable on today. Nothing monumental lol. However, i did order these hood stops from cj pony parts. Supposed to just push in till you hear a click. It's literally like trying to put a square peg into a round hole. If anyone has installed these a little help would be appreciated lol. Oh, before anyone asks. The toggle switch was the previous owners deal. It's how you turn the fog lights on. Im not a fan. I have the light switch now. Just need to dive into that mess.

Those should just snap right in. Ive never had any issues getting them in and out. You sure you have the correct ones?

I ordered the ones they had listed for my car. Part numbers match up.

Hard to say then. Ive never really paid attention to see if the SN ones are different. I know the foxbody's usually takes a couple seconds to put in and take out.

While you are up front cleaning up the grille/rad area- if the 99-04 hood latches work on the 94-98 cars, you could swap it out to lose the plastic neon yellow hood release.

They went to a yellow vinyl/platsidip type coating over a piece of metal on the later SN95 cars, which you can just slice with a razor to remove and be left with a nice clean black all-metal hood release mechanism that doesn't scream "LOOK AT ME! I'M THE HOOD RELEASE!"

So I had a chrome washer fluid bottle cap. Problem was it was for a 98 up. I have a 97. Solution? Go get a bottle and the wiring harness plug off a 98 and make it work. All about some bling lol. I also picked up the plastic radiator cover. A mercury switch for the trunk and a center console insert that had a working cup holder that looked like new. Now to rob a brinks truck so i can paint it lol

Finally got around to swapping the pictail on harness so the washer bottle motor will actually work. While doing that I realized that this car didn't have a horn. Luckily I was able to get one off the same car I got the washer bottle from. Cleaned it up some and a quick coat of paint. Need to put the inner fender liners in still. Thats for another day.

Hold onto those old dual note horns if you have em. Ford is delivering lots of new models with a wimpy single note horn.

I upgraded the horns on my Cobra to freeway blasters (which were slightly louder, but not much) and I will be putting the Mustang's OEM horns on one of our newer Fords with the crappy single horn.

Picked up a new shock tower brace for the ole cobra tonight. Hard to pass up a great deal. With any luck I'll get it put on over the weekend.
