    Not another Mustang...

A while back I was looking for an old car to play with and just make a driver out of. I saw a mid 60's gasser Comet that caught my eye and I thought it would be cool to change it up for a minute.

So after talking to a buddy of mine, he gave me the lead on a 67 Fairlane roller. Nothing fancy, just a 289, 2bbl, 4 speed car. It was not in real bad shape so I bought it. No sooner than paying the man and loading it up. He said "I might have another car you may be interested in". Come to find out it was a decent 64 Fairlane 500. 260 auto car but just a roller. I made the deal with him on it and came back the following week with the empty trailer and loaded it up...

Well I decided I was only going to keep one so I sold the 67 a few weeks ago. Maybe this will keep my focused on just one...

The car had 1 old Plymouth wheel on the front and it wouldn't roll so I had a set of Jegs wheels laying here not in use so I threw them on the front.

The interior is in decent shape. Came with a nice set of 68 Mustang front buckets.

Came with all the trim in real nice shape. Also has the front and rear glass with new seals.

Has a N case 9 inch in it. Not sure what is inside yet. Ill be pulling it apart and checking it out.

Had an old 5.0 out of the red 91 I sold. Pulled the Explorer intake off and the TFI distributor and picked up a Funnel Web and 750 Demon fairly cheap. Also got the MSD 6AL box, coil, Holley red pump, front sump pan, and I pulled the timing cover off of the 69 Windsor that I have setting here. Its just a stock motor with an F cam. Should sound decent...

Had an old C4 laying here. 157 bell, case fill. Fluid looks real clean. Ive never ran it but I was told it was good back years ago when I bought it. Picked up a cheap Summit 2800 converter and a PA flex plate.

Decided on a set of wheels but the rears are out of stock. Went with the American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels in gray. 15x4.5 for the front and Ill be running a 15x7 on the rear. There isn't a whole lot of room under the back but I do have a set of 255/60 drag radials laying here that I picked up cheap that I may try to wedge under it.

At some point it will get a cheap Wimbledon White paint job. I need to order a Crites hood for it yet too. I just want a real fun cruiser that I can drive to a car show, take to the track, or just whatever.

Removed the fox pan and timing cover and installed the front sump pan, pick up, and the timing cover. Intake and motor mounts are on and the distributor is back in.

The Motorsports valve covers will be coming off and something more period correct going on.

Motor should be off the stand, tranny bolted up, and in today.

Got the front tires on the wheels and the wheels on. I still need to swap over to disc on the front. That will get done at some point.

That's the ones I figured would be the choice of most. They seem fitting.

I like the powered by ford covers. They were on the shelbys in the 60s. Good era specific covers.
