New Project - 1988 Ford Thunderbird

Picked this up on the weekend. 1988 T-bird. Was already a race car so slim on interior and wiring but zero rust.
Plans are for an L33 5.3L LS / 4L80E trans with 501 Perfect Converter , Holley Termi X Max , return fuel system.
Gonna put a BTR cam and springs with LS9 head gaskets and ARP Head bolts on the motor.
Down the road it will get a 80mm T6 turbo and valve body swap to a MVB.
The 8.8 has 3.55 gears in it now and its 4 wheel disc all the way around 5 lug.

Looks like a good start for a project and you have a good plan in place. Not a fan of the LS but they will fly with just a little bit of money.
    1992 Mustang LX Coupe, 302, PA C4 and On3 70mm.
    1993 Reef Blue hatch, 347, 3550, and a kit.
    1992 Gould GT project...

Coyote Swap and run a carb setup. Or put a 7.3 push rod in it. Plenty of Ford options that will not break the wallet.

True but I already have the 5.3 LS at $0 cost. Otherwise it would be a yote / 4R70W car for sure.

Pretty cool. Had a chance to buy a 85 tbird, canyon red, black interior, 302/auto. Super clean with zero rust. Probably should have bought it lol.

Always liked those cars! Should be interesting with that setup. If you have yours together before mine I’m curious on how the terminator X functions with your build.
