Thanks, sorry for the long post. Lol. Yeah, thought about slapping it back together but felt it was pointless to do so with a lame powerplant. Ordered the crank today.

Never just slap it back together. I had to make same call at end of the year. Going to be an awesome build and 2024 will be better year for us all!

The pistons are junk but I still have the shortblock. I had 2 other blocks I'm using and my ported gen1 heads are going on that. I don't need it for anything.

I had an extra really nice block and a complete reciprocating, balanced assembly out of my 12 GT, so took the pistons and block to my machinist and he honed the block to match the pistons. I assembled it all and put all the other parts, heads, cams, oil pan, and intake, etc onto it and sold it to a guy who wanted to do a coyote swap on his 02 GT.

Just got my block back from BES. They did an outstanding job on it. I am impressed with the quality of the finished product. I will edit this and post a pic asap. I also have my new custom DSS pistons and my molnar billet power adder us rods thanks to Todd Warren of Apocalypse Performance for helping me out on the rods and block work. I'm taking the assembly to be balanced here soon. Looking for gen 2 heads as well.
