    MarkVIII Mass air meter Question

I was looking around at a junkyard and was looking at the MAF meter from a Mk8, and they have the same plug as a foxbody...

Got to doing some research, and from what I found, they are 80mm and calibrated for 24# injectors...

Will that for sure work in a fox??

the only thing I notice that could be a problem is that they have the 4-bolt flange on them similar to a '94-'95 car...

Anyone have any input on this?

Ford 5.0's and 4.6's use the same injectors... which are high impedence... I do believe.

I posted this a while back.

Ford's 24# injectors are high impedence.

There was another thread on this as well, Low impedence injectors require some sort of relay, that in turn, would end up frying itself. Hondas use low impedence injectors in some of their vehicles.

The markviii injectors should probably say "F2__" which should be the same part number as '93 Cobra injectors.

And then there is this thread...

I could be wrong on this,if I am correct me.

    Mark8 was a 32 valve mod motor.And i believe a cobra motor.The cobra used Ev6 injectors-vs- the regular Ev1 (fox).
On top of the mass air bein for a mod motor the air flow and transfer function on the meter will most likely be different. And will idle like crap and run like a trud. And you wont gain anything from using it UNLESS you have a chip burnt or you have a tweecer R/T.

The Ev6 style injectors require a different plug than the Ev1's.The jumper ford makes and comes in a set of 8 for about 150.

True... It looked identical to a fox MAF, and the injectors that were there looked closer to fox stuff than the MAF did...

What does an EV6 and EV1 injector look like?
