    Question: Suspension vs. Tire Size

I have a set of 17 inch x 9 inch slicks. They were used on 2 hotlaps at mid ohio so they are in great shape.

My 93 lx is going to have Eibach Sportline springs on them.

I am wondering if there will be clearance issues with the 17 inch rim and the lowered suspension.

It will depend on the backspacing, A 5.5. 6 or 6.5" b.s. should be ok

Backspacing is the distance from the back edge of the rim to the part of the wheel that touches the drums. If you had a b.s. of 1", your wheel would stick past your body,If you had a b.s. of 8" the rim wouldnt even fit in your wheelwell without hitting inner fenderwell. so there is a range of b.s. that fits the rim properly to the car, this varies from car to car.

What wheels and axles are you running, and are you running aftermarket control arms?
