    install clutch quadrant

    ok guys never done it but i am replacing t5 and all. so i bought new quadrant cable and firewall adjuster. i am wounder how big of pain it is or anybody have any tricks or tips on how to do the quadrant . it is the quadrant cincy speed sell it is going in a 90 mustang convertible any help thanks
    1990 mustang lx convertible 5.0 almost all stock, best time so far 14.796 @ 93.48 new motor and trans coming this winter i hope

    Take out the drivers seat, makes it much easier.

    or if your skinny enough lay the seat all the way down and lay on your back with your head toward the floor board. use a little flat blade screw driver, needle nose pliers, and a flash light.

    Other than the above, hire a little person. Small hands make it alot easier.

    well looks like i will have my buddy do it because i have fat hand

    Heres what I have done in the past. Take your old cable off. Put a flashlight on the floor shining up to the pedal area. From the engien compartment side, stick a crow bar or long screwdriver thru the hole in the firewall that the cable goes through and rest it on the small plastic gear attached to the quadrant. HIt that sucka with a hammer and bust it off, this way you can slide the rest off the post. Then you can crawl up under yoru dash and install the new quadrant.
